*Reports back to Major Voss
"Lee...their ship is heavily armed but showing no signs of weapons charging or even shields. No signs of aggression whatsoever. My recommendation is to show same to them. Apparently they have traveled a great distance...any intelligent would be smart to leave home armed."

I had hoped that coming here, armed heavily but showing no aggression would be a sign we do look for peaceful alliances. As much as we would like an answer now, I do understand. I myself would take the same stance. (Looks at Dexin) I know my assistant is shocked hearing this. But I am learning to be a patient machine.
Very well, if you will be able to provide secure comminications, we look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
(As he turns to Dexin to begin transport, he turns back to the Captain and Doctor)
I do ask one thing though. Please do not wait to long. If we are to believe what has been prophesized, the clock is ticking. Not just for us, but the Galaxy. I believe we are better equipped to confront it united rather than divided.
Thank you Captain, (offering his hand again) my "Ambassador of goodwill" will be ready to travel to Solaris Humanus at a moments notice.

That is good to now Commander. And we appreciate your understanding the steps we must take in this matter and we do take seriously the time frame you are talking about.. As Dr. Eiluned said, we hope you won't begrudge us this time to deliberate.
Is there anything you need on your journey home that we may be able to assist you with?

We need nothing more Captain. Dexin and I shall be on our way. Its a long journey home and we have much to plan to ready our Ambassador for your acceptance. Should you decide to take our offer.
We appreciate your hospitality. Thank you.
(They return to their ship and speed off)

Well that was interesting. Your thoughts Captain?

My thoughts? It may take some time to decompress from that meeting, Whew!
I do believe Commander Jalex is serious about his assumption there is a darkness coming. Even though he was mechanical and I couldn't see it in his eyes like a human, but something tells me he believes what he told us. Whether he is in as much "danger" as we are, I am not sure. Lets face it, they are machines. Unless the darkness destroys their world, could they not rebuild?
He was quite adamant about having a Xenon live among us on Solaris. I think that would be interesting to say the least. But was his reasoning for it honest? He wants our cultures to learn from each other. They seem quite advanced. Just what is it they could learn from us? The mention of the Ancients bothers me with that offer.
You Doctor?

I agree that he believes that an alliance is needed. This isn’t the first time I have heard rumours of a prophecy or foretelling of danger.
We don’t know how their personalities or individuality is developed or if it is backed up somehow. It might be that when one is destroyed their memories remain as data but “they” are lost. Or they might be restored from some kind of backup. I deliberately did not use the word Evil to describe the darkness, I thought it might be too emotional or illogical a concept, it is interesting that they used it.
If we do have one come and live on Solaris we would need some rules on communication. And a general don’t plug yourself into the station and download our database or hack our station.
Anita are you still observing? I think we should return to Solaris, via a circuitous route and have a discussion and a stiff drink.

Opens a comm, from the Command Centre.
Sharrel, those are really good questions, and I think we should ask them, and since they transported we should have there "schematics" so to speak, which we should have analyzed, and yes I agree return to the station, and we can all sit with a stiff drink and talk about this more.

Major Voss, please set a course for Solaris.
We can download the transporter logs when we dock, Ia should be able to analyse them more quickly than the computers here. We can go over the recordings of the meeting and decide the next step after that drink.

Turns the ship around and heads in the opposite direction of Solaris, to the nearest moon.
I'm going to hide behind here until we see that they are gone. Worst case we can hide behind the moon away from the storm.

*thinks for a moment
"Shield us from the storm and also Solaris would not have to open a portal to let us back in until after the storm....good thinking. I'm bringing the FTL online (faster than light). We may have to make a quick exit."
*comm to Solaris
"Solaris, Titan....we are making a course correction to avoid approaching solar storm My suggestion is raise shields on Solaris to full power. The moon along with shields should provide enough protection until storm has passed....Titan out."

A solar storm just after we meet our new "friends." What a coincidence? Maybe it is.

(hears the comm) (To Sharrel) I'd suggest strapping in, but it doesn't sound feasible now! (He grabs her and pulls her to one side of the support column in the room and himself to the other and wraps his arm around it) HOLD ON!
