BACK UP PLAN ONLY- got it.
If you don't mind. Why not set up a stand up table in the docking bay to work over. Like have a map of the star systems laying on it, who knows its a common thing sort of.

There is no offence taken, it is refreshing to dispense with the normal diplomatic dance.
If we expected casualties I would remain in sickbay to wait for the wounded and our security forces would be here in my stead.
I am here as a senior officer. It is customary for either the ranking counselor or medical officer to attend and assist in diplomatic situations, particularly in first contact encounters.

*inclines her head and takes a half step back so that she is standing a little behind Gideon so that she can observe.
The interaction between the commander and his assistant is interesting. Dexin apologised for his commanders directness, not something she would have expected from a non organic species.
If Dexin shared information with Jalex on human etiquette and Jelex interpreted the information differently then it is unlikely they have a hive mind. Different priorities she wonders or different personalities born from different experiences.
Examining the differences and similarities between an organic and non organic species would be fascinating from an anthropological standpoint.
However she reminds herself that Jalex has not in fact explained the purpose of this contact and it might be more prudent to wait and see what they want and whether they are a threat before she starts considering academic projects.

I would like to begin by stating that although we are machines, it does not mean my kind is of a hive mind. We have evolved to all Xenon's to think on their own. With that said, we on Gwlo are all of one idea when it comes to Solaris Humanus. We respect its position in the galaxy in terms of its strength and goodwill. Solaris has become legend. And some species throughout the galaxy do not believe in its existence because it has been legend for so long.
We now seek out your people. In hopes of altering another legend.

I am sure those on Solaris would appreciate your referencing them as legends Commander Jalex, but I'm not sure what you mean by "altering" another legend? (Looks back at Sharrel, then back at Jalex) What is this "legend" you speak of and how does it affect Solaris..or your people for that matter?

Dexin: If I may Commander. (Dexin nods to Jalex and he nods back) Captain Gideon, Dr. Eiluned, the Commander is having trouble with the wording of your language because we have just learned to speak it only a few months ago in anticipation of this meeting.
What the Commander means is that there is a prophecy that has begun to unfold and if the peoples of this galaxy do not become aware of it, the chance of altering its outcome will become nill.
