Commander Jalex, Dexin, the Universe is filled with many unknowns. This prophecy of which you speak, could it not be legend? Something that is spoke of often through the years. Its real truth decayed by the passing through so many cultures, so many different versions?
Please, tell us of this prophecy that has you so concerned.

Captain, it is true that legends...or Prophecies, like the people that tell them, or not always as they seem. But I assure you, (looking at Dexin) this Prophecy is very real!

Captain Gideon, there is a great darkness coming to this sector of the Galaxy. I have no exact timing on when it will arrive, but it is said that it will happen within the next 2 yarons. I'm sorry, that is years in your language.

What my Commander is trying to relay to you is that this darkness he speaks of is a term to describe something evil. It has been said that an evil will enter our galaxy with the intent on destroying every living thing in it. And there will be nothing any "one" species can do to stop it. Many cultures in the Universe are now spreading this because something has happened to bring it to the galactic consciousness.
In other words, many cultures have felt this "evil" coming. We do not know what event brought this about.

Indeed Doctor. We do recognize that concept. By not recognizing it and acting defensively should this time predicted comes to be, well I am not willing to take the chance with my Cybernetix. I have determined it is time to act offensively. If nothing else, our past history on Gwlo showed us we must be aggressive and not passive.
Captain, I am proposing an alliance with my Cybernetix and Solaris Humanus. With Solaris at the forefront of Ancient knowledge and awareness of all that goes on in the Galaxy, I want to stay ahead of any situations that may lead to such an apocalypse as well. And I can see only one way to do this. I would like to send a Cybernetix to reside on Solaris Humanus. In an official capacity of course. One that not only stays aware of any sinister situations that may arise concerning this darkness coming, but with time spent on your station, can learn from your culture. Learn from the many cultures that reside there and in turn can help your people learn of our ways. Understand us as no other race in the galaxy has had the opportunity to do.

I've always thought a good offensive is a great defense Commander. An alliance with your people is one I am sure will be welcome to all on both sides. That is a very welcome suggestion to our meeting today, thank you. But I am not sure I understand what it is this emissary from your world to Solaris is actually for?
Pardon my negative thought, but are you sure its an exchange of cultures you are looking for? The mention you made of the Ancient Knowledge, knowledge I understand is still hidden from our people, brings concerns you are looking for more than cultural exchange and protection from this approaching darkness. You can understand my apprehension.

Frankly I'm loosing my patience with these guys. I'm glad its not me down there. They might look mechanical but I doubt they are they seem more half mystical half scared human. Those suits might be some kind of exo-skelton. A form of supreme protection. What the hell is this darkness? Evil? Or a massive prophecy for a ion storm that will wipe out all life? Or some freakish bacterium that will change all life into alien life? So will will be plant life? turned into slugs? or everyone will turn into humans? or another singular life form?

I will not lie to you Captain. I do want Ancient Knowledge as to what might be coming. And if there is something that can be done to stop it. But if that is not common knowledge to you on Solaris, I do fear for all of us. But until this darkness arrives, or better yet destroyed, I am sincere when I ask that we exchange information on our cultures. The "emissary" as you put it, would be nothing more than another Cybernetix "Ambassador of Goodwill" shall we call it? One of our own to live and immerse itself in all that is Solaris Humanus. Nothing more, nothing less.
Not only will we learn of your peoples customs and beliefs, but it will teach you about our ways. I know this seems odd, coming at a time when I have warned of nothing short of an apocalypse. But please trust me when I tell you that this "exchange" has been our objective for a good amount of time now. We truly feel its time to leave our world of Gwlo, and learn more about the galaxy around us. We have yet to venture very far from our own soil. What better way to learn than from those that have learned a great deal themselves. Why your struggles with the Drej alone are "Legendary!" (smiles as he has used this word again)

You've given us a lot to think about Commander Jalex. We appreciate you coming to us with your concerns. Especially about this Darkness you speak of.
(Thinks to himself that perhaps the Stargate program starting up is good timing. Visiting other worlds to look into this matter of a "coming darkness" will be an even better reason to do so) I cannot give you a definite answer to your Ambassadorial request at this time. We must speak with our leaders on Solaris Humanus and weigh all that you have said. And a lot, and I mean A LOT has been said. I do hope you understand this. Our dealings with the Drej and other races have taught us that not all races strive for peace, or equitable sharing of knowledge. Those that do have proven rare in this particular corner of the universe. We do, very much want to build alliances that will enrich our knowledge and culture and help us all weather the storms that we face.
I think that we have more in common than I perhaps expected given our different physiology.
I believe you take the responsibility to protect your Cybernetix seriously, so you will understand that our actions must be tempered by the responsibility to ensure the safety of our people. Solaris’ position in space is concealed for very good reasons. What you propose is no small act of trust on our part.
I hope you will not grudge us the time to deliberate on your proposal and find a balance that benefits all our people. We can provide a secure means of communication, if you would be willing to speak further at that time?
