Here we are Mr. Castorious. I'm Nurse Mitchell. Please take a bio-bed and lie down. Anything we should know or just an extensive exam? The Doctor is out for the moment, but our EMH will be checking over the results and speak to you when they are completed.

Sitting on the edge of the bio-bed and laying back, J replied.
"No, just a long overdue check up. Although, I have been feeling somewhat run down here lately, like I haven't gotten enough sleep but I've been sleeping rather sound. I just don't feel quite right, if that makes any sense."

Well it could be a matter of a vitamin deficiency, or a number of things. Don't take this the wrong way, but as we get older, those things do happen!  Alright, if you would just take a couple of deep breaths, relax and I will put this arm of the bed over you and we'll begin. It won't take long at all. |

J relaxed and placed his right arm over the side of the bed. Yeah, getting older sure does suck. He took a few deep breaths and tried to clear his mind of his family and his past. It all seemed so very long ago....

J was slightly taken aback at the Hologram, mainly because it reminded him of a part of his past, but he calmed himself down and replied.
"Well, I've just been feeling really tired and drained, physically and mentally, for quite some time now. I mean, I have an appetite and do not really hurt, except my left knee, I just don't feel quite right."

Have you fallen on it, maybe skinned it up or injured it lately Mr. Castorious?

Looking at the EMH figure, J thinks for a bit then responds.
"Yeah, it's an old injury from years ago but here lately it just seems to be bothering me more. The fact I am so drained though is what really bothers me"

You are a bit dehydrated. Nothing a couple of days rest and water intake wouldn't cure.
I'm sure you're fine, but lets see what further testing will come up with. Full diagnostics please Nurse!

A symbiotic relationship? We have several beings here on Solaris that are carrying symbiots. Another lifeform inside their bodies, but I've never heard of a symbiosis with an inanimate object. Certainly nothing the size of a planet.
Oliver, is your planet able to speak to you and your people or is it just a feeling you get from it? Maybe projecting to you?

Hello Captain. I'm not sure yet. Nurse Mitchell is finishing the tests as we speak. I'll have some idea then. He is sedated somewhat so that he could tolerate his visit to SickBay, thanks to Nurse Mitchell for thinking of that. He has been experiencing some pain which he says is linked to something that has happened to Azcad.
Right now though, did you know Oliver was linked in some way with Azcad? I believe there is some sort of symbiotic relationship between him and his home world.

Yes, I had an idea that he was linked to Azcad as it was explained to me when he retuned from Azcad on his last visit.
My concern right now, is that we recently blew up a dimensional gate and part of its composition was Azcad. I can only expect that Braxxul was somehow involved in creating that gate.

Interesting. The removal of part of Azcad didn't cause Oliver any discomfort or pain, but the destruction of what was removed and ultimately destroyed in the gate must have caused the pain he is experiencing. Right now, If that is the issue, I just don't know how long the affect will last. Oliver could be painless momentarily or days, maybe more.  I am hoping it's not long lasting. |
