"Training should be an ongoing thing. I think this has been a very good exercise in seeing what it is going to be like. With that said I would like to get the second team up and going and I think this team can come and help. Captain,...Ambassador....You are certainly welcome to join in on said training.....Although if there is a mission we need to embark on I say let's do it. *Looks to the team... You guys up for some exploring?"

When we get back to the Station, I put the call out for the second team, I am hoping that we can find a friendly first contact, Ambassador, do you have an idea?

We have our gear, we will find out about rations, but what about emergency equipment, tents? sleeping bags? How and when do we determine we need these things if we are wondering into the unknown. If we each carry our own, it would help us if we get separated, do we have a plan if we get separated? What about off world communications between us? With Solaris? Also how long do these missions last?

"Each mission will be different. I do not anticipate having to stay overnight but in that situation there are ways to construct a shelter using the elements that are already there. The main thing we just need to remember. In a survival situation the first three things we need is water, shelter and a fire. We will have water with us and a means to start a fire. There are several ways we can build shelters......perhaps we should plan an overnight training mission to a known peaceful location where we can build shelters....You bring up some good questions Reny,...Open dialog is most important."

Captain, now that we have cracked the code to the Stargate network back on Solaris, I suggest we dial whatever address it deems a friendly contact. Things may have changed in the Galaxy since the Stargate was used, but it is our best bet at this time. We need to investigate the area. And now we have a Team(s) to do so. Perhaps as the gate is used, we could transfix onto other plantes and systems as we learn more of how to use the dialing symbols.

That sounds like a good plan Ambassador.
Reny, the communications to each other off world, I would think might be some kind of walky talky kind of system, at the bare minimum, maybe the Major can speak more to this?
As for communications between the team off world and Solaris, please correct me if I am wrong, but I would think that communications would only be possible if the gate were open, or if the planet were in the near vicinity, but I think that would be a stretch unless there was one of our ships near by.
Major, I think your idea of a overnight training mission to a known peaceful location is a really good idea, and I think should be the next step in the training, even before we start the second team's training.

Takes a quick tour of the tunnels between buildings and the emergency escape tunnel, and breezes through the rest of the buildings, and returns to the barracks.
I like this site even more, and they did a good job hiding the escape tunnel exit, you would never know its there.
