I'm not familiar with the Goa'uld Major, but I still have nightmares when I think about the Drej, the damage they have caused mankind and if they are still out and about waiting for another opportunity to strike at the Human race again!

First I think I little preface…a little of my history. I came here to this “Reality” via a quantom mirror. The Earth that I am from was utterly destroyed along with every ship in the Earth High Command fleet. I was on board the Ascension and she was breaking up around me. When all hope was lost I activated the mirror and it transported me here to this reality. Earth was also destroyed here but at least there were survivors. One thing I did not see or even hear of here was the Goa’uld.
The Goa-uld are a race of sentient parasitic beings that take over hosts. Several species can serve as hosts, including humans and Unas. They originated on the planet designated P3X-888. They are also extremely egomaniacal due to their genetic memory and the adverse mental effects of the Sarcophagus technology. Goa'uld means "god" in the Goa'uld language. Races which will not serve them are completely destroyed without compromise or mercy whatsoever.
The Goa’uld and the Drej destroyed everything in their path where I come from. One difference when I came here with the Drej….where I came from they also had a symbiont type weapon…Me and my brother…Clay were both affected. It’s a long story and it took many years but I am free of the symbiont.
My father also came to this reality…I’m not sure how that happened…you would have to ask him that….
…Anyway, what I fear is we run into the Goa’uld. All the time I have been here I have never seen or even heard of them though….let’s hope it stays that way.

Thank you Major, its good for you to know that the dangers we face are very real, and I need each and everyone of you to be on top of your game, to use a cliche.
You need to check your emotions at the door and have each others backs, and fronts and sides, I don't ever want a report coming back that we lost anyone of you.
What you find out there, is going to test you in ways you have never dreamed of, and I need each and everyone of you to meet that challenge, and return to Solaris safely.

I had no idea how difficult it would be to get these old bones of mine to take this trip. I am very glad we have the young and agile, next generation to man these gate trips.

What about food? I mean we need to come up with some kind of food bar that is loaded with calories. My metabolism is fast and everyone here knows I'm a big eater not to mention Azzie she needs a lot of calories to hold her human shape.

On missions where you don't have a place like this to go to, you could have some protein bars in your Knapsack. But I am not sure in your case Oliver. You and Azzie would need more than the average Gate Traveler.
