Even though she knows no one is around, she looks around, slowly over each shoulder, and anything that has an "on" "off" switch she turns on.
All of the lights come on,
All of the monitors come on, The gate room lights come on,

All the equipment's lights come on it starts to beep.

Hi Nuveena, its good to see you, everything is alright, I suppose I am curious about how things work here, I realized I don't know how the mechanics of things work here, but that isn't why I came here. I came here to see if there is some remote chance that there might be an extra Stargate around somewhere?
I'm planning on setting up on off station "base" near here on an unused moon, and the added benefit have having a Stargate there would greatly improve travel, especially for myself, and when the Station is no longer near this location in space.

This base would provide a neutral space, not on Solaris, for meeting new races, without a lot of the danger to Solaris and its people. After we have meet them a few times, and agree its safe for them to come here then, we can introduce them to Solaris, however, we do need an extra Stargate to put there to help make it possible, it would also protect Solaris's location if other races use the Stargate there to come to Solaris.
But, I know they are not simply lying around, and not sure how or where we can find an extra Stargate, for this purpose.

I am very well Captain. Excited to get the Stargate Program up and running. The Ambassador is seeing that it all goes smoothly. And to answer your question....(she turns the monitor a little more towards the Captain so she can see the image full on)

Thank you Nuveena. And there you are Captain.  Its just a bit smaller than the Gate we are preparing to use. Actually, just large enough to walk through. Maybe a small utility buggy could go through it. I'd say its just perfect for your needs. |

Wow, I'm surprised, where is this Stargate? I never expected to have one found immediately, however, I am very grateful. This will do perfectly, and if we can have it installed underground we can protect its existence from any ship passing the moon.

I believe it to be the first Gate placed on Solaris before ours here. That can only be addressed by the Ancients themselves. Unfortunately Captain, where it is will surprise you. It is currently in a Lab at GW Enterprises. Grayson Willoway has had it in his possession for quite sometime. And he has no intentions of parting with it.  |

I can't really say Captain. We didn't have the opportunity to do much testing with it. When Willoway was lurking about the more quiet decks a couple of years ago, he came upon that Gate at the other end of this deck. He removed it as quickly as he found it. Thankfully this end was sealed better because if he had found this area first, well there is no telling what could have happened.
Anyway I don't suspect it is. My senses tell me it isn't since my people are related indirectly with the Ancients. I believe once the Ancients developed the Gate system, that (pointing to the screen) Gate was deemed no longer needed and was deactivated. And that is probably why Willoway is so anxious to involve himself in the Gate program. He wants to use it for his own gain.
With that said, and what we have learned so far from the Solaris Gate, it could be activated, but it could be used for our own use such as the project you mentioned. With the help of the Gate Network, I am sure we could determine that quickly enough.

Did he now, that is clearly theft. He would use it for his own gain, and not to benefit Solaris. We'll before we proceed further I need to get that gate back, so we can determine if it can be connected.
Ambassador, I'm very grateful you are connected to the Ancients and the gates, this program wouldn't be possible without you.

I am sorry for not telling you sooner about Willoway. He said, and I quote, possession is 9/10 of the law in human culture. He claimed it and I assumed it was human nature.

GW perverted that saying, and its not human nature, and most humans would never presume it so.
If anything it tells me he needs to be as far as way from the Stargate program as we can put him.
I'm sure showing up on his door with a few SST, and some threatened jail time, should do it, that would be enough to spread rumours to damage any contracts he has out.

Willoway is a very...how can I put it..."trying man" at best. I do not envy your dealing with him. And I do think being accompanied by an SST or two would go a long way in convincing him to returning the gate.
Once I get my notes collected Captain, I do want to sit down with you and explain what we understand as how the Gates work. Dialing wise and all that. I think a general knowledge of that procedure would be best to get started for you to be better equipped to begin your participation in the overall process and setting up teams.
