I agree, and would like to add that what ever training our people get for the Stargate program, I would like to join in.
We'll see about Willoway, I could always give him a beating, stun him, shove him out an air lock, actually I wouldn't really do that, well, maybe, give him some time in Solaris' cells.

Of course the decision is yours on how to deal with our Mr. Willoway. If there were only some way to make him see the error in his ways and change him permanently. Perhaps there is a way?

I was thinking...if I could get him to the holosuites where I can set up a gate scenario, to just put a little scare into him, maybe that could do some good?

Its worth a try, then I can scare him with an air lock, there can be someone outside to grab him outside, its hard, and I can't help it, he just does that to a person.

I haven't actually "called" them to speak. But I have been experimenting on several frequencies to try and contact them...him/her...it. Sometimes it sounds like I actually get a response yet its in inaudible sounds. I haven't gotten anything coherent yet, but I can try again if you'd like?

(Showing the Captain the console and the different dials that make different frequency sounds)
I'll start dialing a message to the Network, repeating it in 30 second intervals and see what we can find. You will here humming noises. With each dial I move, the humming will be a different tone signifying different words. I'll keep it down low so as not to hurt your ears but high enough to hear a response if they choose to reply.
We had tried plain oral messages, but with no luck. The Ambassador suggested the sounds.
OK, here we go.
(She presses a few switches on the console then begins turning 8 different dials, one right after the other in hopes of a response)

(16 minutes pass by but it seems like hours. Just then, a response)
Oh my gosh! I think I have something Captain, listen!
(She turns up the volume. After the 4th high pitched sound she dials, a lower one plays, but it is not a sound she has dialed)
Captain, did you hear it? I did not dial that very low sound we hear after the high pitched one. I believe someone or something is trying to reply. Let me try and focus on that sound and see if I can change the frequency to clear it and maybe hear more.

Ambassador, its good to see you. The Captain wanted to contact the Stargate Network which I told her we had also been trying to contact them. And I think I may have gotten something through to them.
(She plays back the recording she and the Captain had heard)
We are hopeful that I can fine tune this and get some response to our message.

OOC Nuveena, I can move the thread, just tell me where you want it, and what post number, for example move all posts or move posts starting with number #4. Ambassador, it is good to see you, and Nuveena put it so nicely, I would like to start the stargate program soon, but I also don't want to assume its ok to do so, when the stargates aren't ours to do with as we please. If we can talk to the Stargate Network, or to whom ever is behind it, and we try sufficiently without an answer then we'll proceed, if we try and get an answer, then all the better. |

This one has eluded me. I have no idea whether the Network is a network of beings, possibly the Ancients, or if it is an entity into itself.
