Of course. I'll save some for her and look at some here myself.
He said that the Drej were threatening to "change" his wife into one of them. Actually, I think he used the term, "turn" her into one of their minions. They held and possibly are still holding her in a type of stasis chamber. When he wouldn't cooperate with them, they put him in one as well to break him down. Captain, I don't know if it is physically possible to turn someone into a Drej, but I believe he was experimented on in some fashion. That would explain this substance I found in his lungs.
If this substance is part of the process and it does convert living breathing beings into those electric corporeal entities, we could have found the way to defeat them on just that level. Eliminate the species all together.
But we have to break it down and found out what it does even on the most simplest cellular level.

Somehow I am not surprised, it confirms an earlier suspicion, and shock I had, before I ended up in space and Oliver rescued me, one of the drej looked at me, and recognized me, I was shocked, it was a human form of recognition that a meccanoid drej should never have been capable of.
