(As Reny and the SST arrive at the Colonies, they can see Talusia Prime in distress. (photo 1) The atmosphere is a bit cloudy and they will have some radioactive readings, but it is already dissipating. When they descend to the surface, they see the shambles Talusia City is in. (photo 2) You must set down and look for survivors)

Daniel and Callie are you seeing this? What the hell happened here? There is probably too much heat to detect survivors, we need to find a safe place to land. Do either you see one?

From the ground she sees the shuttle through the smoke and fire, waving her soot covered sweater she can only hope that she is seen, if not she will have to follow the shuttle's path hopefully seeing where it will land.

Starts to cry when seeing the shuttle moving off, she then sees it land or at least it looks like it landed on the far side of the park. Dropping her sweater, she starts to run to where she thinks the shuttle landed.

Good spot Daniel. Looks like we are going to have to get some protective gear before we can head into that mess, computer, do you have a city layout of the colonies? We could try to head in the direction of the council or media? Whatever appears first on the map, or any survivors who can tell us what happened, weapons a must, we are sure to run into some looters.

Because we thought this might be a trap and Renny and the ensigns might be less recognisable. Having the Drifter hang back means they can assess the situation and we can provide backup as required.
I do hate being a responsible adult at times. From the level of destruction we can see from here, the situation on the ground must be dire. I really want to start arranging medical and rescue response teams from Solaris.
The government should have sent out an SOS, that they have not suggests they are gone, no longer in control or are afraid of calling attention to something.

OOC Sharrel, in the past you have said that you like to get notifications of new posts, if you still do, click on PROFILE > EDIT PROFILE > NOTIFICATIONS you can select what notifications you'd like to get.
You're right of course, but it still doesn't make any sense, even if the gov't were gone, because it was a colony there were back up measures in place, unless it is truly as you said, they are afraid of calling attention to something, which does seem to make more sense as time goes by.
There must be survivors, I agree, medical and security teams from Solaris,
Oh dear,
I just had a horrible thought, what if all of this was simply a distraction to accomplish another task? To hide the real purpose amidst the destruction? Who do we know who would do that?

The computer is spitting out a map of the colonies, as it was scanned when we were landing.
Opening the weapons locker, picking and choosing large to carry and small to fill up pockets, sleeves, boot holsters.
Lets weapon up and go exploring, if we are lucky we'll find a gov't building or media centre.
Holding the door open for the others.
You've got lots to choose from, I like this!
