I understand Nurse Mitchell, this situation is a shock for all of us.

Is there any way, known or speculation on how we can block the signal --- at least for now?
By blocking I mean two things:
1) stopping further growth to the child and
2) any external signal, that might act as a beacon to the location of Solaris ?
Major, I don't think the Alpha site is a good idea, that location is too valuable to us, and is virtually hidden from the known world.
I ....
I think Deck 13 might be the answer, it is protected by the Ancients, there is nothing "normal" about that deck, time is different, space is different, and even if the drej were to remotely even have access to any signal to Solaris, it would point to a time and place in space that is so far away from Solaris, that it would seem like we were in a different galaxy, hundreds of thousands of light years away.
And there, we could address the internal nanite growth issue. I can't see any immediate growth happening, as it would take an extraordinary amount of energy and any energy the baby had was expended in that growth spurt. BUT I do believe we should act now, and anything we need to do has to be done in the very near future.
Deck 13 is currently sealed to keep the populace out, but we would have access.
