(Sets her Tea on the desk)
Captain, I know this is going to sound a bit strange to you, and to his Parents as well, but our newest tenant on Solaris is perfectly healthy. When he was brought in, he had a slight abnormality to his DNA scan. Upon further testing, that abnormality or anomaly if you will, has completely vanished. No trace, residue, nothing.
Quite honestly, I'm surprised. Never seen anything like this.

Thank you.
Sips the tea.
How strange.
If you were to speculate, what would you say that abnormality was?

I'm a Doctor Captain I work with scientific results. Buuuut, if I were to speculate, I'd say the Sarcophagus affected the child while he was still inside Miss Manning's womb. We don't know definitively how the Go'auld Sarcophagus affects anyone long term. Or affecting birth either. It could be that Miss Manning was the first woman pregnant placed in one of those things for all we know. It heals adults, not changing DNA that is already established. It could be it changes the DNA of unborns to give the Go'auld complete control over the subject.
Again, that is speculation because there is no evidence now that the child was affected in any way.

Takes a few sips of tea, to think a moment.

I did ask for speculation.
Is there anyway for the computer to construct a virtual baby, a simulation, based on the data from DNA information from both parents and possibly use that as comparison? And try to compare that to the baby so see if its 'normal' DNA to match the infant?
Is there still a sample showing the abnormality?
I'm wondering if the abnormality's DNA could be 'autopsied' so we can actually see that abnormality marker in the DNA. If at the very basic, we can see it and have it on file.
Takes another sip and thinks a moment.
Actually is it also possible to test the mother for that same DNA marker? Since she was in the Sarcophagus, she may have it, but may not be effected by it.

The sample showing the abnormality is available, but it would have to be retrieved from the Alpha site. Only the results of that testing was brought here.
Yes, yes we could work at constructing a "virtual" baby. That is a good idea frankly. I'm surprised I didn't think of that.
I have Miss Mannings DNA on file when we had her in SickBay on her return from that incident. I can begin a more detailed test on it. But I don't believe it will show anything like this.
I think in the meantime, the parents could come to see the child in the ICU for now. If in a few days the results of more testing aren't conclusive, as I suspect they won't be, they could take him home then.
Captain, I'm not saying there is a danger to anyone here, but to be on the safe side, once they do take him home, I think it best to look in on him once every couple of days to make sure all is going smoothly. Just a precaution.

I am sure you are very busy, since Sharrel, Dr. Eilund is on extended leave. I will send someone to the Alpha site to retrieve that data and have them report to you. I do think its time they saw their child, and took him home, and checking in every couple of days is wise. I am sure you have thought about putting a monitor on him. I am also not saying there is any danger, but I have to be a bit on the paranoid side for the safety of Solaris and its people. The last thing I need to address, and it might be better coming from you to Miss Mannings, and that is the subject of what to do with her brothers body? If he is return to the station, he will have to be cremated, or he can be buried at the Alpha site. However, I would like your opinion of whether we should an autopsy first. I know its not a pleasant thing to do , but it might give us more knowledge on the damage those sarcophagus do, and it would be good to know how he died. Miss Mannings, may have questions as well.

We are in agreement with all that Captain. The EMH on the Alpha site could do the autopsy so as not to have to worry about bringing Mr. Manning back to Solaris. I can schedule that once I have Ms. Mannings approval. Precautions as far as the baby is concerned were already in motion, monitor and all. Now let me get the ball rolling. Excuse me a moment. (presses comm button on desk) Ms. Manning, this is the EMH. Would it be to much trouble to ask you to come to SickBay today and lighten our load today and take your son home?

Quite honestly Captain, with Dr. Eiluned on her sabbatical, I haven't the time to consider a name for myself or a pattern for the wall paper.
I don't mean to be ungrateful to your question, just unfortunately to busy to consider anything at the moment.

Deserving indeed Captain.
(Sees the Major and Ms. Manning approaching the office)
Ahhh, here they are now.
Thank you for joining us Major, Ms. Manning. Nurse, please pull a couple of chairs from the corridor there so that Donny's parents can sit and relax while we talk.
