The radiation won’t hurt your hull.
Long term exposure could damage any bio gel packs used in your circuitry but your hull is designed to protect against external radiation. If it wasn’t then just traveling between star systems wouldn’t be safe for your crew or passengers.

Thank you Doctor, maybe he will listen to you. I haven't been getting anywhere. How did a sentient ship become such a...how do you humans say....a "worry wart?"

OOC I accidently deleted my own long post, here goes again. As Daniel beats him to the shuttle ramp, and he thought he was fast! Although he wasn't that FAR behind, he stops at the bottom of the ramp and isn't sure if he sees a shadow under the shuttle. Looking he sees an unconscious lady, and kneels beside her and gives her a good shake, and a gentle slap on the face and nothing. Picking her up, he carries her onto the shuttle. Daniel, we've got another passenger! What are you looking at? Putting the lady into a seat and buckling her up to keep her from slipping out. He joins Daniel at the control panel and sees the message.
Ok, lets get the others and answer them then.

Ensign Daniel Carter: (buckling in) I had no idea we'd be opening a bus service today! Ensign Callie Truman: (To Zachary) They will be here momentarily Zachary. Hold on and we'll get you fixed up very soon. Attachments:

It seems so.
Sitting back in the pilots seat. Doing a quick check, lifting the ramp, and closing the door, and lifting off.
Here we go.
Hovering above the ground, and covering the ground to Callie and the boy in a matter of seconds, the shuttle lands, the door opens and the ramp lowers.

Well he hadn’t had the most peaceful existence or calmest start to life.
Hopefully once we get back to the station.
Has there been any word from the away team?

Not yet, I'm trying to not get worried.
Sarrin, can you locate the away team? and pilot us to their location?
The Drifter certainly had a scare for sure.

I have their location pinpointed within a 50 mile radius Captain.
I will get us there PRONTO!

Thank you Sarrin.
How are your scans coming? When we pick up the shuttle can we leave? or do you need more time for your scans?

(Leaning against a bulkhead and grabbing his chest once they get in the shuttle)
Thank you Callie. I'm glad you showed up when you did.
(Looking at the woman the others brought aboard)
Who is that?

We don't know, we found her laying under the shuttle, passed out. Buckle up, we need to get airborn.
Going back to the pilots chair, and pulling in the ramp and closing the door, he opens an encrypted channel.
Reny to the Drifter.

Opening an comm in response to Reny's incoming hail.
Reny, we need to get you off of the surface, there is radiation, and we are concerned for the amount of time you've been exposed, we are seconds away from your location, and cloaked, meet us at these co-ordinates and we'll open the hatch for you.

Captain, as I continue to scan the surface, I have found pockets of land that are cleared of the radiation. And in those pockets are entrances to underground caverns that I believe my scanners are picking up lifeforms there. The crystalline underground of the planet has been made cavernous. And recently so. As I define the scans, I have identified these lifeforms as the Talusian population. Thousands of them. Attachments:

What? Drifter, there is enough caverns below the surface to hold the Talusian Colony population? And why didn't you know this earlier?

I am sorry Professor I am not perfect, although I am very close to it. My sensors had been affected by the radiation on the surface. But as it clears even further, I am picking up more info from the scans. I cannot get a complete count, but most of the Talusian population is underground.
Captain, I am also picking up B'nai life forms there as well. Why they are there is an unknown. They have no use for the crystals in the planet that I have scanned throughout the caverns.
OOC: Well Professor, I had to wait for intel from the Drej in the Ra thread! lol

How many B'nai in relation to the human population.
Could the colony have been working with the B'nai and that made them a target?
Captain how long till the shuttle gets here? I really want to check on the away team and get them through Decontamination.

Comm to the shuttle
Reny what is your ETA to those co-ordinates?
Out
Drifter, are you picking up cells in those caverns? I assume the scans of the Talusian population are showing that they are alive?
We really need the Azcadian away team here to help us potentially go into those caverns.

Captain have them beam from the docking bay to Sickbay. I don’t think the drifter wants them contaminating the hallways.
I will head down to sickbay and get them started in decon while I assess the casualties.

Captain, I am able to distinguish the life signs now. All appear to be alive and Talusian. But I am picking up other life forms. There are B'nai in those caverns as well Captain. No cells determined at this time. But I can say with confidence that there appears to be a B'nai for every 25 Talusian.
Captain, I am detecting B'nai weapons fire. No casualties. It could be the B'nai are keeping their hostages in line with scare tacticts by discharging their weapons.

Excellent idea Sharrel, Sarrin did you hear that? As soon as the shuttle lands, follow Sharrel's instructions.
Thank you Sarrin, and thank god, and not so good with the B'nai, and doing the math would mean that there are 1000 B'nai for the 25,000 Colonists?
No cells ? But they are alive, can you tell if they are in some type of suspended animation?
Weapons fire? I'm at a loss to see how they can corral 25,000 people, we need eyes in that cavern, and if there were metal there, Oliver would be a good one to do the re-con.
Sarrin, please send the following Urgent message to the Azcad away team:
The Talusian Colonies have been attacked, and we are cloaked at that location, would greatly appreciate your presence.
Out
