I suggest we set up a level 10 containment field before we try to disable the weapon just in case we get more of a bang than we want. Ideally if we can knock out the weapons without the Drej knowing it will buy some time,
We should take a full set of scans first. Perrin if you can come up with a way to disable the weapons I can make sure it won’t harm humans being held captive, or at least not harm them irreparably which is more than can be said be said of the Drej weapon.
We know there is plant life there but they are both carbon based life forms so hopefully the plant creatures will be ok.

OK, lets give this another try.
(turns on the sonic X-Ray and then modulates the containment fields energy out put from high to low every 3 seconds. The machine takes in depth X-Ray photos of the weapon and then he turns it off just as the X-Ray machine is destroyed)
I figure if we can keep the weapons defense mechanism busy with the modulations long enough, we could get those 3D scans you need Dr. Sharrel. Can we try again now?

And here I was worried about us acidently destroying the weapon. I hope we have a backup X-Ray machine, I think this one is officially KIA.
Right let’s go again. We need to figure out how to disable the weapons while not setting off a self destruct. Not that I would mourn the Drej holding the weapons but there is too much risk of collateral damage.

Dr. Sharrel, what if we hit it with an EMP pulse as we modulate the containment fields energy field? But using a stronger pulse than our equipment here can give us. How about we use an EMP from the Drifter, channel it thru another scanner?
We would still be keeping the weapons defense mechanism busy, but the added strength of the EMP would take it out....in theory.
The Drifter would need to turn it off in an instant on our command so as not to take out the whole deck and blowing a hole out the side and into space. (weak smile)

It should work in theory.
It would likely take out any other electrical devices. Captain when running that scan include anyone with medical devices such as mechanical heart, we might need to cause a diversion first then and beam out anyone at risk before activating the pulse.
Perrin, will you be able to calibrate the transporters to work through any residual energy after the EMP is deactivated?

The scan is done, there are a few with medical devices, but no mechanical hearts.
Perrin, how close are you to being done? I'd like to give The Titan more then a few seconds heads up if possible.
