(As he waits for Captain Thomas' return to Solaris, the Ambassador hangs a sign on the wall next to the door into the room. He looks forward to informing Captain Thomas of "SHADO," the Solaris Humanus Alien Defense Organization)
(To Himself) Chancellor Insighthealer would be proud to see that Solaris is once again working to bring about his dream of uniting the Alien worlds with Solaris to fight the evil in the Galaxy!

You may have to earn that designation again in this reality, but if you impress Captain Thomas as you have me, it shouldn't take long.
Yes, its stands for Solaris Humanus Alien Defense Organization. I am officially renaming Chancellor Insighthealer's Peace initiative he put in place years ago. With his exit from the landscape and its lackluster upstart, we need a new beginning. I will discuss it with the Captain when she returns. But with the Alien atmosphere as it appears today, we need to get a jumpstart on Solaris' and the Galaxy's defense!
With the latest terror attack on Talusia, and not knowing for sure who is responsible, we have to be proactive. Don't you agree?

"Ambassador I couldn't agree more. Seeing that Solaris is the ONLY home we have now, we must take every measure to protect and defend. Not only through military action, when absolutely necessary, but preferably through diplomacy and alliance building. A safe galaxy is a secure galaxy."

Its good to know we are on the same wave length Major. (stands and then walks to the window that looks down over the Stargate)
My vision is to use the Stargate not only for missions to recruit other peoples in the galaxy and beyond to join our cause, but to show the strength in numbers. To show any adversaries that they must think twice before terrorizing our home ever again!
Once we have members joined with us in the SHADO Group, that message will be seen loud and clear.

"Well I must say that is an intriguing offer Ambassador and I must say that I am flattered. I must fill you in with more details though. Up until here recently I have not been fit for any sort of active duty status because of what I went through from the Drej. Recent events in my life has transpired and I believe I am on the.....well road to recovery and I am itching to see what is out there. I have spoken with Sarina and the EMH concerning my situation and they are quite pleased with the direction things are going. They intend of speaking with the Captain upon her return before putting me on active duty status once again. So with that said and if Sarina and the good doctor deem it and Captain Thomas approves....I accept."
*turns back to look at the gate...."It's an awful big galaxy out there Ambassador...let's go see what's out there."

I am somewhat aware of your situation from speaking to the Captain a few weeks ago Major. So trust me when I say I have been working on this for sometime.
