Where I live they had concerts in the park, one group was amazing, singing songs that you could hear the lyrics and they actually played the music. The farmers market, there is a special doughnut they make, I can't recall the name right now, but they only make it on celebrations, and they are all handmade, and really delicious, and there were activities for the kids, face paiting etc.
But no fire works.

Glad you had that Miranda. And the community doing that for everyone sounds great Anita! There were many festivities planned in my small community but as usual, I had to work. And unfortunately, with my schedule, I had to be in bed early for work to get some sleep for the next day so anything like fireworks were out of the question to see. That is my usual July 4th sadly enough.  But glad others got to have fun! |
