(The hustle and bustle of the news room now permeates the once quiet of these halls when there was comm silence just a few short days ago during the Talusia Prime crisis) Russell Cooper: Alright then, you have everything done in editing? Editing tech: All taken care of Russell. Everything is go. Penelope Curtis: I am so jealous of you Coop. I was there and should have gotten that interview. Russell Cooper: Penelope, you need to learn a little restraint when it comes to the higher ups. Actually anyone really. Penelope Curtis: Are you criticizing the way I handle myself? Russell Cooper: Really? Have you met you? I'm willing to bet you would still be in the Command Centre trying to get info out of the Captain. And she would probably be trying to figure a way to charge you with something and throw your butt in the brig! Penelope Curtis: No one appreciates that a woman has to be strong and forceful in this business to get where she needs to go. Russell Cooper: That is so 20th century of you and nothing but an excuse. You enjoy being that way, don't deny it! Penelope Curtis: That's all well and good Coop. But the next big story is going to be mine. You wait and see! (She leaves the newsroom) Attachments:

News Anchor Harrison Tucker: Welcome back. Here now is the exclusive interview by reporter Russell Cooper granted to him by none other than Captain Anita Thomas herself. For the answers to our burning questions as to the Talusia Prime Incident and what did happen.
(Turns to the left)
Russell!
Russell Cooper: Thank you Harrison. Today, upon her return from her recent travels, Captain Thomas respectfully granted us an interview as we caught up with her returning to duty this afternoon at Command Centre. Here now is that report...

Russell Cooper: Aside from the silence the galaxy experienced during the Talusian Crisis, were you aware of the destruction of the Talusian Colonies?
Captain Thomas: Yes
Russell Cooper: And were the Drej responsible as had been feared?
Captain Thomas: Yes and No
Russell Cooper: (Looking a bit confused) What happens next?
Captain Thomas: (As confident as she always is) Why don't you let me make a statement.
Russell Cooper: Please, you have the floor.

Captain Thomas: I'm speaking to you from the Command Centre, I want to update the people of Solaris about Talusia Prime. Myself and Away team left Solaris to travel to Talusia after rumours started appearing on Solaris. What we found was disturbing, and you may find listing to this upsetting, if that is the case, please have someone else listen for you, with whom you can talk to later. We found the colony had been attacked, and the majority of the buildings had been destroyed by weapons, and sadly lives had been lost, lets please pause for a minute of silence to honour them. A minute of silence.
We found a couple of survivors on the surface of the planet, and they were rescued, upon further exploration of the planet, we found the majority of the populace held hostage in caverns below the surface.
We discovered that the hostage takers were drej, with some creative hard work on all of the Solaris Away Team, the populace was rescued with some injuries, but no deaths. The hostages were transported to The Titan which arrived from Solaris, along with the Yamato for protection, once The Titan was a safe distance way.
The drej, not knowing we were off of and away from the planet, returned to destroy the planet.
After that, The Titian and other ships from Solaris, were plotting a long route home safely, to make sure the drej were not following, and in the process, we were visited by The Ancients, who took all, but a few of the Colonists to a safe new home. We don't know the location, but we trust the Ancient, the others a few of them returned here to Solaris.

Russell Cooper: These "Ancients" Captain, they just "took" the populace of Talusia Prime away? On what authority did they have to do such a thing and how were you able to be convinced to trust these "Ancients?"
Captain Thomas: The Ancient, he and I have met in the past, and we had built a rapport.
The Mayor of the colony survived, and after talking with her, and then taking a vote from the population, they all voted to go, except for the few who arrived on Solaris with us.
Russell Cooper: Captain, We all know very well just what the Drej are capable of. Many of us are very worried and rightly so. In your opinion Captain, are they coming for Solaris next? And what is the strategy planned for our defense?
Captain Thomas: Yes, we do know what the Drej are capable of, and I am not going to say that we are 100 percent safe no matter where we are in the universe, there are always going to be Drej, the most important thing to remember, is that we do the absolute best we can, and we have some amazingly skilled people, that are always on the lookout for Solaris and keeping its people safe.
Solaris as most know, is built from Ancient technology, and we were given the care of Solaris, and Solaris will take care of us, it has a few surprises that the Drej aren't aware of.
Another way, that we can help to keep ourselves safe is through the New Stargate Program, the more people and races we can meet, that will help all of us to build a unified front, and become stronger against the Drej.
Russell Cooper: Captain, are you stating here and now for our viewing audience, that you are giving the go to a Stargate Program? Rumor has it that one such program has been on the books for some years now. Ever since the Starage was discovered on that locked Solaris deck.
Captain Thomas: Yes, I'm stating here and now for all of your viewing audience, that the Stargate Program is going ahead, and I'll contact your office at a later date, so you can announce a date, when we will be holding interviews for those who might be interested in joining the Stargate Program.
Russell Cooper: Captain, I want to thank you for your cooperation. I think it important that we not only get this information out there, but we calm the fears and end the rumors as to what Solaris holds next for all of us. It is appreciated. Thank you!
Captain Thomas: Thank you.

Russell Cooper: And Harrison, one more note to that interview, Captain Thomas wants all Solarans to know that her Stargate Command members will be holding interviews for Stargate team members to staff this ambitious project that is finally underway. She promises to gives us the first word on when and where those interviews will be held in the future.
Harrison Tucker: Very interesting Russell. And what a scoop for you sir. Fine interview. Thank you.
Russell Cooper: Thank you.
