I suffered a huge shock with the Captain almost dying.
I still don't know how to feel about the whole Azcad expereince. Kate and I are the the the royalty of the planet. We had to connect to the planet in order to save it or everyone would have died. What do I do with that?

Well with the way gossip gets around on the station, I did hear a little of that. Especially about the Captain. I totally get how it would shock you. That is an unnerving experience to say the least. But she is alive and well and you must try and take comfort in that. Its a lot of work, but you must keep at it.
Having to save a whole planet and all the lives involved is another story. That can be life shattering.
And there is no rule as to how you should feel. Everyone's emotions are different. No two people can or will feel the same. And there is no "solution" that is the same for any two people.
If I may give you my opinion, I would say just...feel. Oliver, you won't be ready to deal or adjust to those events until your system has dealt with it as it needs too. And you mustn't be to hard on yourself for not dealing with them in an amount of time that you feel is sufficient. Again, everyone is different.
All you can do is talk with those around you that you trust in to help you deal with it. Whether that be friends, family or even a professional. But if you aren't ready or don't want to, then that is OK too.
When you are ready to carry on from the ordeal, you will know it. Your own healing mechanism inside you will guide you. If a time comes that you feel ready to move on, but can't, then seek out those that will help.

I've known you for a very long time Oliver. I know you to be a survivor. You will come out the other side of this healed and stronger than before. I have that much confidence in you.

 And you are always the gentleman. I can vouch for that. Oh look over there. Its Sarina and Oliver. I haven't seen him since before he went on his away mission. They look like they are in a very serious conversation. I hope everything is OK between them. OOC I thought that was very well put Sarina!

Well there is no need to rush. I know everyone that loves you will give you all the time you need. Speaking of....I also signed up for the occasional Stargate mission should they need me. I am wondering how you feel about that? There was a Stargate on my homeworld of Kelthon before the space warp that took my ship and I from it. I am wondering if Ambassador Sandrine will find the coordinates and help me make a return to Kelthon. I have worried for my Father and Brother for so long.  I do hope they are still alive and well after all these years. |

I think it would be interesting to work together to see another side of each other.
Yeah I can understand how you feel. words don't always make us feel better. Maybe with luck you can go home again through the stargate or a series of stargates. it might be best to just enjoy our time together tonight. you are going to always feel that emptiness until you know. its not much comfort. you do have family here. ...holds her hand... I have felt everything you are feeling now. Its not easy. So lets enjoy right here.

I want to believe that Darling, but just seeing him brings back all the bad thoughts and fears. I've got to keep it together till I can talk to Sarina tomorrow.

I'm going to calm down and relax. Lets take some appetizers, finish our drinks and then go out into the Concourse and see about the light show Winston mentioned.

OOC: Thanx guys. Sorry, I meant to say that earlier.  Well listen to you. You might have yourself a career in Counseling also! I am glad to hear you approve of my being involved in the Stargate Program. I was hesitant to sign up because I thought maybe you would feel you couldn't concentrate on the mission if you had me there to worry about my safety. I think your attitude is a healthy one. But I do understand a bit of worry goes along for everyone involved in the Program. Its an unknown situation. We just have to take care in how we deal with each mission we get involved in. |

DH, there is no machine, computer, that will last hundreds of thousands of years, and that is how old Solaris is.
The Ancients build SH, as a final home for those wanting to save their races, there was a prophecy, and there still is, but I can't share that. The point is, the people who now live on and in Solaris are meant to be here.
There were Solarians from the Planet Solaris who lived here for a long time, one of the cities is on deck 13.
The Ancients needed someone to care for the station, I volunteered, I'm an Ancient, I pretend to be the 'computer' because that is what I need to do, to watch over everyone here. I'm not allowed to interfere, unless I'm asked or requested to do so by its populace, but they think I'm a computer.
I have maintained the station and all of its parts for eons. Its why nothing really breaks down, and was in working shape when you arrived. Solaris, still has many secrets yet to be revealed, but I'm not permitted to help anyone do this.
I'm in a perfect position as the 'computer' to watch over everyone.
