ATTENTION Solaris Humanus residents! This is Winston Pebbington-Smythe. A fireworks display will be held in the main concourse of the new Commons upper level at 10PM this evening. The SHNN will record it for playback at midnight on their network for those that will not get to see it live or those at home should you not be able to view it on your vid screens as it commences.

I kept busy with work of course, but I was so consumed with worry about you and the others of course. If you were safe or maybe injured. So afraid something might happen to you.
And of course, I wondered when the time came for you to return, would it be to me or would you have lost interest. It was a very difficult time.
I can only imagine what dangers you went through there. And with our previous conversations about you needing time to work through all you experienced, I feel so selfish for worrying like I did even though I know it was a natural progression of the time we were separated.

Ladies and Gentlemen, for those of you at home, Winston Pebbington-Smythe just announced that his light show to end the evening here at the new Upper level of the Commons, is going to begin 10PM, in just about an hour from now. I understand that all lights in the Commons will be turned off except for those highlighting the planted grounds area of the Commons so that the fireworks display can be seen much more clearly. It will truly be like watching the display back on Mother Earth years ago like so many pictures have showed us.
We here at SHNN will be recording the event and playing it back for you at Midnight tonight and then of course will be replayed as often as you like on your vid screens at home when you request it.
This ends our formal coverage of tonight's festivities and hope you have had as much fun watching as we have had presenting.

Well, this spot looks like it will do just fine to watch the light show. (He finds a nice large table in a grassy area to seat the Aquans) Queen Aquadia, you and the Princess and Dar can sit on that side. Omnaris, Fluidia and I can sit on this side. These are called picnic tables. We use them to enjoy many meals in parks, outside eateries and even in our own backyards at one time on Earth. A very iconic item from Earth. |

Well, if you are sitting on the back area, (demonstrating) you put your legs in like this, and then sit down. Now(getting up and out) if you are sitting up front here, you just sit down like this. Or if you like, you can sit down (getting up and then back down) you can straddle yourself on the bench like this.
Very simple and quite comfortable. Everyone, please give it a try.

Yes ma'am, they do. Please try it. It part of our culture quite frankly. Used to be a time you couldn't go on a picnic without using one of these. A picnic is a lunch packed into a basket to take on long walks or meeting with people in the park and enjoy a nice meal sitting on the picnic bench. |
