What you saw Ensign Tyler do was put a metal band on her finger as a symbol of their love and devotion to each other. When you see someone with a wedding band on their finger, (shows them hers) it signifies they are married. This is the one Adam put on my finger when we were wed.  (Takes his hand in hers as they continue to walk) Princess Lorca, was there a symbol of love that you and Mr. Dar share when you were "joined?" |

We don't use "things" to show our love for one another Mrs. Kendall. When we are joined, we say vows during a cleansing period in the Seaweed Baths. It signifies leaving all things of our before life behind to accept and rejoice in what is to come as a joined couple.
The water is so warm and refreshing. And the seaweed is not only soft, but tasty as well. An experience all Aquans hope to achieve in their lives one day.

Ensign Seth Tyler: Wait a minute. Look how we are dressed, pretty much as fancy as a wedding could get. Callie, what if we get married today?!
Ensign Callie Truman: What? We can't get married today. We have to find a preacher, make guest lists, there is the matter of the cake and oh gosh, a wedding license to get.
Ensign Seth Tyler: Honey, we still have our license from the first time we were going to get married. It's still good because we never returned it to be annulled so to speak. And as for the preacher, well (looking over at Capt. Thomas) we have someone right here that could legally marry us this very moment. That's if you would Ma'am?
Ensign Callie Truman: Seth! We need witnesses for the ceremony.
Ensign Seth Tyler: Look at all these witnesses right here. Technically we need just one for each of us. Capt. Gideon, since you would like to be present at our wedding, would you be my witness today?
Ensign Callie Truman: Oh good grief, he's serious! I guess I could ask one of you all to be my witness. LOL Capt. Thomas, will you, can you marry us...now?
