The holiday “cottage” is fabulous. I want to take it back to Scotland with me.
The village is a bit more rural than I expected as there is a pub that sells drinks only. No shops, post office etc and no phone reception. It is a bit of a shock to the system but also nice as it is very quiet and peaceful.
we are about an hour and a half south of Dublin so we can do a couple of day trips to there.

It is, there is phone reception in the town about 15 minutes away from the house so we are not totally cut off.
Planning to take the train to Dublin tomorrow and do some sightseeing
