er I never thought of kids er of the future of the planet in that way. I have some hard thinking to do. The DNA thing sounds like a really good idea. I am glad I am here on Solaris. I love the people here.
 the dragon shifter is still asleep on the drifter I hope some one tells the repair crews they may be in for a surprise. I am also mad as hell at the Captain. How in the hell can she put herself in danger the way she did at the colonies. I am having some nightmares what if I couldn't get to her? |

I think Anita understands the risk she took and why we were all upset.
I can’t promise she won’t ever be in danger again but I do think she will think before taking such risks again.
So that was what caused your nightmare?

Its a mix of everything. the drej and lt. Kendalls wife the people here.all of everyone here. we are really vulnerable. like I was alone on azcad. like the captain in space. we have had some deaths. Sarina any of us going outside of the station. even though we are together here we are still alone in space.you are right but then the captain is going to be bored of being behind a desk again then what is going to happen.

Oliver, there are no guarantees in space, on the station, on a planet or ship.
We have lost people on the station, we lost so many more on the Kotuku before we came here.
Sometimes we lose people to accidents or violence, sometimes to sickness or age.
I know that isn’t reassuring, but if I told you everything was fine and safe you would known it for a lie.
Anita has lived an interesting life, she serviced and thrived. Sarina has been in more than a few dangerous situations and she has gotten herself out of them.
I think the memories of being alone on Azcad bubbled up when you went back. Then before you could deal with those memories and emotions you were thrown into the situation with the Drej and Anita was in danger and I think all those fears and emotions got twisted and tangled up.
OOC lost it? Do any of us have it?

Maybe. I do feel my gut tied into a knot. One moment wanting to drink myself into oblivion the next exhausted from sitting.

Drinking yourself into oblivion is never a good option.
If you can’t sleep why don’t you go do something physical. You can run, hike, or swim in the holodeck.
You can work our in the fitness suite, or just go for a walk. If you want company, I or Tanya would be more than happy to join you.

I think what I really want right now is to go back to Azcad, we left there so fast I feel that I have unfinished business there. I can't tell you what it is only that I feel that going there will help. I would like to be in the drifter sick bays when the repairmen wake up dragon shifter I could use a good laugh.I think that is why I feel so uncomfortable with any other thoughts about doing stuff.

I think being there when your draconic guest wakes up is a good idea. As is returning to Azcad.
Anita almost dying scared me too Oliver, and I hate the fact that Sci was hurt and I can’t just fix it, so it is understandable that it would hit you even harder given everything you have been through.
I think the Drifter is being repaired so it might be a few days before it is ready to go out. Sin would be able to give you a lift, or if you wait to wait and borrow the Drifter you could go after the commons opening.

I haven't talked to Sarina in a while. I haven't seen her since I've gotten back. .....er We've had a bump its a major bump. I tried talking to her she wants to fix me. I needed someone to just listen. We argued and she missed my point of her just listening to me. It wasn't nice. I wanted her to listen not her job.

That is a major bump. It can be difficult for all of the medical staff to draw a line between their private and professional roles because what drew us to that profession is often a very fundamental part of our personality.
We want to help and we want to be needed. Which is fine in a professional capacity but disastrous in a personal one. I have had relationships perish on both sides of that particular rock.
A healthy relationship needs to be built on want, not need. Believe me, I have learnt that the hard way.
I would say this is more than a bump, perhaps not a mountain but a good sized hill. You can climb it, if you want to but you will need to decide if you want to. If you do it will take work, compromise and honesty on both of your parts.
Before you went to Azcad I think we all wanted to protect you, and fix you because you did seem broken, or at least seemed very damaged.
You are not the same man who went to Azcad Oliver, I think confronting your past let you fix yourself. You had been getting stronger and more stable for a while, but that trip made a big difference. You might still have a few scars and cracks, but so do the rest of us.
You need to talk with Sarina, whether you decide to work at your relationship or end it should be an honest decision. If you don’t it will just fester and hurt you both.
Sarina is my friend, I want her to be happy, and I hope I can claim you as a friend, because I want you to be happy too.
I am more happy to mediate, or be an ear to vent to, or just lend you the little soundproof room in sickbay I use to yell and throw things and vent when I need to. Although if you want to vent without advice you might need to tell me that in advance as I can keep my opinion to myself but it doesn’t happen by default.
I would very much like you and Sarina to be happy together, But if after you clear the air, either or both of you decide you would be happier apart then I am still happy to lend an ear, or the code to the melt down room.
Ultimately I just hope you can both be happy, or at least content.

That is understandable. And you need to figure out what you want for yourself first. I think a trip back to Azcad this time with a little less stress than having to save the whole planet will help with that.
I don’t suppose that there is a stargate on Azcad?

I know you can absorb the metal from the gate, but I wonder if you can use one safely if you choose not to absorb the metal.
It would have been a handy way for you to split your time between here and Azcad, although I am sure you could use one of the fighters or faster transports on a regular basis.

I like the idea of taking a fast fighter at least for now. Scout out a stargate. then take Sarina for a trip there after we talk. can you talk to Sarina for me? .... starts to nod off..fights to keep his eyes open....before falling asleep where he sits.

...wakes up after who knows how long. starts to think about going to azcad. takes Ollie out of his pocket absently mindedness playing with him. he should go alone first he needs to feel comfortable with the planet before taking Sarina there. it would also help him and solaris if he can find a stargate...
