Gwlo, a one continent planet, was originally inhabited by a technologically advanced race a millennia ago. So advanced that they created mechanical men to do their work for them so that they could enjoy the "finer things" in life. But over time, eventually they became stagnant and even the so called finer things were no longer of interest to them. So they decided to destroy the mechanicals and become the race they once were. But the mechanicals were created to well. They became sentient. They wanted to live. They wanted their own lives to control.
A war to end all wars broke out between these mechanicals and their creators. The mechanicals were victorious. Those that survived the war were placed on several islands to live out their meager existence. There is but a trace of these creators left.
AND THE CYBERNETIX RACE WAS BORN!

(A small island 2 miles offshore, east of the City houses the Command Center for all the Cybernetix from which Jalex, the imperious leader of the Cybernetix rules)
