TTT - Turbo Tube Transport - Originally Sarina's concept. - A tubular transport system that stops at each and every deck.
Space Station Shields / Cloaking Devise- Cloaks the station, but it has an additional feature, it creates a holographic image of the station at another point in space. This was done to misguide people to the exact location of the station. All knew of its existence, but because of the complexity of the cloaking device and it's periodic changes of the 'holographic' image of the station no one knew for sure its exact location. No one could break into the station because as they approached it - the holographic image would disappear and several hours/ days later re-appear in another location.
Any ships coming or going, will have to pass through a portal in the shields to land or take off.
History:
Eventually races stopped trying and ignored the station as if it were space junk.
Standard Security for Secure Areas - There are 4 potentially 5 standards depending on the area:
1. Optical Scanners
2. Hand print identification
3. DNA confirmation through the hand print identification pad
4. Voice recognition
5. A key or electronic card

The medical computers and drugs lockers in sickbay can only be accessed by authorised personnel (medical staff, the captain and chief of security) after they have been verified by a DNA scan.

- All the Solaris Ships have an auto return program (to the station) in case of the pilot incapacitation.
Quarters - Some quarters have no security other then the standard voice recognition. Other quarters have specialized security. Those quarters are:
1. Captain Anita Thomas:
The first 4 security measures exist for the kitchen and general living room area.
The remainder of the quarters has a double thickness bulkhead and requires a second application of the the first four measures.
Any other entrance into the quarters is defended with lasers and heat sensors.
The vents into the quarters are restricted to the kitchen and living areas.
There is a third application of the first four measures for the second den.
The second den has additional heat, weight and laser sensors. There is a pattern/puzzle that must be followed on the floor in order to gain admittance. Any one not following this pattern, will be instantly stunned, zappped and jailed. It has a secret door access through the first den.

Sharrel's quarters are warded, these are magical protections which should keep magical attacks out.
They would also alert her if someone were to enter her rooms, unless the wards had been keyed to let them through.
The main wards are passive and won't harm anyone who goes into the room.
There is a locked wooden chest in the bedroom, the wards on this one will cause harm if someone tries to open it.
