It is good to see you, I've missed you. Giving him a hug.  in a way it did, we meet some new people, a colonized space station, which has some extreme societies on it, and was able to buy some supplies for The Drifter, I also ran into a fellow named Reny, he always had your back, we did some smuggling together, it was a shock to see him. On the other side of things we were banned from a planet, was followed by an unknown alien, on the station and into space, who attacked another unknown alien in space, with whom we had to rescue, and chase off the first alien, was almost eaten by a large space spider, and we were hit with some kind of freaky ion storm, that caused The Drifter, the ship itself to become sentient, I think that just about sums up everything. When we returned to Solaris, there was some issues with Talusia, which I am sure you've heard by now, and I'm back on Solaris, I've just come from my own swimming hologram program, and I am extremely relaxed and de-stressed from the recent events. How are you? Thinking of me? |

Yes, the Talusian Incident, as they are calling it, was a terrible shame. We have to find a way to either eliminate the Drej or a better way to defend ourselves from them.
Me? I'm fine. No, I could never lie to you. You once told me that you could always see it in my eyes when I was telling a lie. lol
Anna, I had some time to think while you were away and...and I realized that I needed something more in my life than just being a member of the Solaris community. I needed a purpose. A reason to get up in the morning. Much like you and your responsibilities that keep you on your toes.

Yes, it will be off station. She wants me to come to Tera and with my knowledge, be a part of there ever growing defense initiative. They have had enough of the Drej and Braxxul years. She was quite serious about that. And also expand Tera's image. Being an Ambassador, having an "in" with Solaris is just what she feels her people need right now. And joining whatever friendships are made between Solaris and other culture's would be a benefit to all. I am sure you can understand that.
Happy? I am not sure I'd call it happy. More like feeling "useful."
I think I could help the techs their turn their little armada into something they could be quite proud of. And possibly create an atmosphere where they could feel comfortable in joining Solaris Humanus against any future incursions of alien attacks.
What do you think?

I do understand the need to feel "useful", and everything else you've said makes sense and is needed.
And it sounds like, there is something in your voice, where you are looking forward to doing this.

That's my girl. I actually am looking forward to it.
I've made a few friends since my arrival here, and I will miss Chandra a great deal. We did travel half the galaxy together to end up finding you and Solaris.
And of course, I will miss Anastasia. (Taking her hand)
Its been a godsend to find you again. But I do see we have different paths to follow. And knowing you will be here, leading these good people wherever the future takes all of us is the most reassuring thing to me.

I am very grateful that you, and Chandra did find Solaris and myself,
Holding his hand. I will miss you, I do miss you, and I have missed you, and I'm very grateful that you are here, knowing your alive and in the same star systems. I have felt bad that my obligations as commander of Solaris hasn't allowed us to really be together, but knowing you are 'here' and doing something of great importance and making a difference, I understand that, and simply knowing that you are around is a huge comfort, and yes we do have different paths to follow, and in some ways, in the end, that may even come together. I do love you, and I know you love me, and my heart is joyful for you that you are looking forward to something, I was worried for you. |

I am very relieved to hear that. I was worried to tell you all this. Your place is here on Solaris and I am so glad we both understand that. I should have known that with your loving grace and all your sensibilities that you would understand AND know exactly how to say it.
Queen Aquadia hinted to me that she would contact you to make plans to visit the station and discuss my taking her up on the offer. So there is a little time yet before I head off to Tera.

Well, while you were on vacation, I did hear that the 2nd level of the Commons was close to being finished with their renovations. It would be great to stick around long enough to be a part of the grand opening.
And what a show piece that would be to a visiting Dignitary such as the Queen.

I agree. I did swing by the youth club, they call it The Glowing edge, and it was thriving, and at a noise level I'm not used to, Have you heard when the official grand opening is, or will be held? I know its soon, but I'm not sure when. |

I saw some of the work as it was being done, the place looks amazing.
I haven't spoken to Pebbington-Smythe or heard anything about how soon the upper deck of the Commons will open. I was hoping the News would have something on it but not a word yet.
