You know, I think I will take a drink. It will probably be one the last I will have once I get to Tera. They don't have alcohol as such like we Humans. A good stiff Bourbon on the rocks please.

It isn't common knowledge yet, but I have accepted an offer from the Aquans on Tera to be their Ambassador to Solaris. Of course that means going to Tera to live during my term there.

Now that is good Bourbon, even if it is synthesized from a replicator!

I must say, that is quite the change all the way around. If you don't mind my asking, is the Captain on board for this? I thought part of your image was the hero returning to his lost love after such a long period of time.
I'm not one for romance novels, but I do like a happy ending. And I thought you both found that.

Well thank you. And I didn't know our former romance was the topic of discussion on Solaris. LOL
Actually, with her duties to the crew and residents of Solaris, she is quite the busy lady. And I haven't found what keeps me interested in life anywhere here like I thought I would. Don't get me wrong, there is much to do here and the people are fantastic. But I needed something to give me that drive again.
I am really not sure how it came about, but Queen Aquadia of Tera requested a conversation with me and the rest is history.
Anna...I mean Captain Thomas is 100% behind this. She knows that driven people need challenges. And just as Solaris challenges her, Tera is my challenge.

Well I am glad you found something you could put yourself into. But I would have been glad to find a challenge for you in my organization Captain. A man with your experiences would fit in well with my tech firm. Always looking for new and innovative ways to improve the competency of our fleet here on Solaris.

Quite honestly Mr. Smythe, as attractive as that offer sounds, I think I would have still preferred what I am getting ready for. Traveling around the galaxy's as I did, gave me a never ending thirst for the alien unknowns!
But, I would like to ask if the Aquans need any tech from your company, might we look into using your services to advance theirs. The Queen wants me to help build up their defenses and their armada's. Could be quite lucrative for Pebbington-Smythe wouldn't you say?

Which brings me to a more pleasant subject. May I ask when the upper deck of the Commons is going to open? I invited Queen Aquadia and her entourage to visit then. I thought it would be a good way to introduce the Aquans to Solaris.

A very good question and one I will be happy to answer.
I've had a couple of setbacks, but I believe all should be ready to open by Sept. 22nd. And I will be happy to have the Aquans aboard for the festivities. I am glad you invited them. Should we send a ship for them when its time? Maybe impress them even more?

Very good! I know the upper deck of the Commons is being looked forward to by all, but the event itself is going to be like a holiday all to itself. I've heard nothing but anticipation from anyone who speaks of it.

Excellent sir!  I am happy to hear that Solaris is excited about the opening. It will be a grand celebration for sure. Which reminds me, I do need to get to the News studio and ask them to broadcast the opening date. I am so lost without my assistant. If I could have her here 24/7, shamefully I would!
