I've just about got his wiring back in place Charlotte. It really doesn't look that bad for as old as he looks. Maybe he was rewired before?
Another couple of minutes, be patient.

I just found his ticker. Well, the unit that keeps his moving parts oiled and self serviced.
It doesn't look good.
I'll loosen the wiring around it and show it to you. Just a sec.

Its OK Charlotte. I've seen them do this in Class before. AS long as Rusty is connected to the power source, he will not lose any functions. It nothing at all like a person getting a heart transplant. Although I bet Dr. Eiluned would disagree. lol
OK, I have it disconnected. WOW, (as he pulls it out of Rusty's chest) look at this thing would you.

That is a very worn out transistor. I am surprised he hasn't stopped running before this.

He's perfectly fine Charlotte, you can trust me on that. (Gets up and walks into the supply closet and a moment later returns) I happen to be good enough friends with the Chief Engineer to know he wouldn't mind if we took this to help Rusty. (Plugs the new transistor for Rusty into the work station) Its a beauty isn't it? We are going to install this in Rusty Charlotte. (After attaching all the wiring, and flipping the switch on the new unit, he closes the chest plate)
You bet it does Charlotte. He's all set to power up. Now talk to him Charlotte. Let him hear your voice and see if the voice activation works. He should recognize a familiar voice and came back.
