Chief Morrow: Our pleasure Doctor. That is very kind of you Captain. And an offer I am sure Commander Koenig will take advantage of.  Captain, as far as OUR Drej problem, I do hope we've seen the last of them. Those of us on Moonbase Alpha haven't had much in the way of conflict with them since the destruction of Earth. Would you happen to know if they are the type that strike like this then hide like cowards or are we to expect another confrontation?

The drej are like tape worms you never really get rid of them, and they are evolving, they want us gone, if they know of your existence they may target you with all they have, or feel that you are no threat at the moment, and set their sights on higher goals, like Solaris Humanus, as the last remaining largest space station hub of humanity, we pose a serious threat to them. I expect them back, and wouldn't be surprised if they sent scouts to follow us back to Solaris, as the drej can't match Solaris's technology, they can't find it, as it is hidden, and it moves its location in space on a regular basis. Before you go, the Major can give you the secure channel on which to contact Solaris, and make sure Commander Koenig, contacts us before leaving, I would hate for a drej scout to find you before you make it to Solaris. Do your ships have cloaking capabilities? |

I have an affinity with cats. And Bosko is part of the family, kind of.
Bosko was created to provide emotional support, companionship and protection so he is good and picking up when someone needs a bit of help or just company.
I imagine the emotional turmoil in the cargo bays was overwhelming?

That explains why the cat showed up. After the ship was hit the fear from everyone was intensity enough to almost passout into the next century.

You should try and schedule some time with Dr Eiluned. Most empathy can learn how to shield themselves to prevent being overwhelmed. You might not be able to block everything but it should help.
How are you feeling now?

A lot better. I would like to learn to shield better. I have realized sitting here that I don't shield as well as I thought I did. I seem to run from all of it.

I would not recommend returning directly to base without cloaking capability. Perhaps could we install something temporary that would last even for half an hour so that you could at least leave the sector.
If the Drej are targeting isolated or small human settlements your station would be an attractive target.
