Good. I think we should start talking about his therapy and what to expect. Dr. Eiluned, Captain, I want to do everything and anything I can to help Uncle Sci get better.
(Chuckles) I'm so used to calling him Uncle. Did he tell you that he plans on adopting me? He told me that back on Solaris. I can't wait to call him Dad. He already feels like that to me. That's why I want to help him in his recovery. Family should be there for each other.

Perrin,  I love your excitement, you are an amazing young man. With a more serious manner. Perrin, your dad, is seriously depressed and unfortunately that is not something you can heal for someone. It is something that takes time, and can only be healed by the person who is depressed, by facing whatever it is that caused the depression in the first place, and sometimes the answer is not front and centre, and for all we know, this accident that has triggered the depression has also triggered something from his past that we don't know about. I did speak to him not to long ago, and although I am not a doctor, he seems severely depressed, and is resting right now. Sharrel? |

I think the Drej resurfacing might have triggered traumatic memories for him. He lost his wife in the attack on Earth. He couldn’t save her and I think he may have some unresolved guilt around that.
Sci loves you very much Perrin and thinks the world of you. But he doesn’t think much of himself right now. He doesn’t think he is worthy of our *points to Anita and herself* friendship never mind your love.
He honestly believes right now that he isn’t worthy, and that he will be a burden and ruin your life.
I think part of that might stem from survivors guilt, he couldn’t save Maureen so how can he protect you.
He is in too dark a place to reason with right now. He wants to do what is best for you, and us and that is to push us all away.
I want you to remember that he loves you, and we are going to be there for him but we need to be careful of how we do that. It won’t be easy, and he won’t mean to hurt you, or us but he is in pain and it is easier to push people away than deal with that pain.
He doesn’t want you to feel obligated to ruin your life by looking after him, which is nonsense but he isn’t thinking rationally at the moment.
I would like to see if we can come up with a droid helper that would help keep him independent and reduce his physical reliance on anyone else. The physical problem is easier by far to treat than the mental one.
Perrin this is going to be hard for all of us, you most of all, and I am sorry I can’t shield you from that.
You are Sci’s son and have been for years as far as I am concerned. You and he are both family, and sometimes families can be very, very difficult.

(Shocked at what he is hearing. Actually he is hearing only one thing at this point) What? He doesn't want me around? He doesn't want to see me? No, you must be wrong. Uncle Sci wouldn't do that! Its happening again! I find someone to call family and then they are gone! (Looks around the room like he is looking for a way out, brings his arms up and crosses them like he is cold and then turns away from the Captain and Dr. Eiluned so they don't see)   |

You have a family, Anita and I are not going anywhere.
Sci isn’t well and isn’t thinking clearly. He thinks he is a bad person and they being around HIM will hurt YOU. He couldn’t be more wrong but he can’t see that right now.
He wants to protect you, his heart is in the right place, but his mind isn’t just now.
He is trying to push all of us away, and you know he wouldn’t deliberately hurt any of us like this if he was well.

(Staring at Dr. Eiluned as he is in a HUG with the Captain. Tears run down his cheeks) I'm sorry for acting like a little kid. I guess I have to remember that Uncle Sci isn't well. I could tell something was wrong when I saw him earlier. I felt something. I just thought my Empathic abilities were going wonky since that crazy change from kid to adult and then to kid again back on Solaris. We have to help him Dr. Eiluned. I want it to be our priority. He would do that for any of us if we were in that situation. I know he would. (pulls away from the Captain and says to her as he wipes the tears off his face) I think I just made the shoulder on your uniform soaking wet Captain. :  (Sniffles) Sorry. |

Perrin you are a wonderful young man, and there are times we all need a hug, there is nothing to be sorry for.
We do need to help Sci, but we have to be careful about how we do that so he doesn’t withdraw into himself even more
I wish Sarina was here.

I don't want to leave Uncle Sci, but since he isn't up to seeing anyone anyway, maybe I could do more good for him by helping to bring back someone that might help him? I've missed Sarina and I'd like to see her. I can tell her all that's happened.

I've got the transporters running. They will need an overhaul once the Titan gets back to Solaris. I told the Major about it.
I don't need anything really. But I wouldn't feel right if I didn't ask Zachary to come with me. I'd hate to leave him behind after he lost his parents like he did. Would it be alright if I asked him if he'd like to go?

I never asked him and it hasn't come up. I don't think he is any more than a 1 or 2 younger than me.
I wonder if he would want to see his Aunt and Uncle and Zev while he is there? I don't think he should be alone for that. Maybe I shouldn't ask him to go?

+An encrypted message is sent to the Demon Hawk from Solaris Humanus. It details Sarina's guidelines for attending to the refugees and hoping that she can help soon. As well as seeing Sci for herself and helping him.
She also comments on the news that Oliver and party are safe and how happy that makes her. Her hopes that the Demon Hawk can come get her soon+

You don’t need to meet your aunt and uncle yet Zachary, but you can keep Perrin company on the trip there and he and Sarina on the way back.
Sin is almost back from his last sweep of the sector, we have sensors and a communication relay set up.
Perrin do you have a communicator with you?
