He is resting.
He is a bit low, there was an issue during our vacation that Sci feels guilty about. He thinks he deserved his injuries.

Nurse: Here you are Doctor. Just a bit of dust but its still in great condition. It cleaned up rather well. We haven't had any need for them in quite a while. That was the last one in Med stores. I'll have to order a couple more when we get back to Solaris Humanus.
EMH: Thank you Nurse. (With a bit of a frown) I am sorry we have to use it at all. (heads to Professor Scifire's room)

Well Professor I hope you have rested a bit by now. And I have brought you something that will help you get around now and not feel so secluded to SickBay. It will take a bit of practice to learn to use, but I feel its best we start now rather than later.

That should help you get around the Titain for a few days until the swelling goes down and we can start your physical therapy.
We don’t want to start with the motor assistance bands until then.

What The Hell?
Trying to think back upon his injuries, how can they be that bad? What was the report? Sci was in an explosion, this is bad, this is a serious blow to his psyche.

Just don’t get too comfortable in that chair professor. As Dr Eiluned said you want to let the swelling go down but you don’t want to loose muscle tone then have to rebuild it when you are back on your feet so we will need to strike a balance.
*To Anita* is there a holodeck on the Titain? If not we will need to use the one on the Drifter to start some hydro therapy in a couple of days.

(As the women walk in, he explains to the Captain) I'm sorry you are finding out this way Captain Thomas. The Professor has been very agitated since he found out about his current mobility issue, so I told him I would be back with something to help his restlessness. Now he will be able to get around. Err go, the restlessness will be handled.  Professor, the chair is controlled by the computers in both arms of the chair. I do want you to keep your upper body active in therapy as well as working on the lower, but at least you won't have to use your arms to get you around. That went out with the stone age.  And Doctor Eiluned, I did see your notes for Hyperbaric Therapy. Good call I might add. I thought the Professor could go to the chamber tomorrow in his new chair. (He still has no idea how upsetting this is to the Professor or Dr. Eiluned as he sprung this surprise which he is most proud of) |

Of course Sci, but not for too long you do need to rest.
If you get any pins and needles or are uncomfortable please com for a nurse. We can prescribe something to help you sleep.
