"Well I think that is a splendid idea. I'll go in and prepare a few things and we can enjoy a nice evening on the porch.....maybe a nice stroll down by the lake a little later."

*smiles and steps inside where Caleb already had a fire going. Tosses a few more logs and prepares a pot of tea. Opens his pack and pulls out all the food and starts preparing.

*the fire going and the inside nice and warm. Walks out onto the porch with a tray. Roasted vegetables with grilled chicken and some rice along with a pitcher of sweet tea.
"It's been a while since I actually cooked....hope you like it."
*sets it down on the small table between the chairs.

How did your debriefing with the Captain go? I will understand if you can't go into detail. But were all involved understanding of all situations?

"Well I would need to speak with the Captain about that. I would also like to get a closer look at the footage from the drone of the wreckage. He was certainly up to something...I just don't know what.....well we don't need to talk about that right now....this should be a time of rest."

That sounds wonderful. BUT....I will clean up! After all, you made the meal. Now you relax and give yourself a few minutes to decompress from the last few days and then we'll go for that walk.
(She gets up and takes both plates inside)

*sits and looks out over the scenery enjoying the soft gentle breeze flowing through the forest..leans back in the chair and eases back and closes his eyes.

(20 minutes later, after the dishes are done, she returns to the porch, quietly opening the door. She maneuvers around behind William and then leans down, putting her arms around him. Resting her head next to his)
(Whispering in his ear)
You look so relaxed. Would you rather just head off to bed? An early morning walk will work just as well for me.
