Four seasons: Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter. 24 hour rotation, 365 days per cycle. 1 moon, Ra.
4 Continents, 2 in the northern hemisphere and 2 in the southern hemisphere. 1 large island also in the southern hemisphere. All land masses together would only cover a 3rd of the planets exterior. None connected to the other and all completely surrounded by Ocean.
Northern Continent, Northern hemisphere, home to the Terans: Now just a small tribe left from the original Terans. With more than half of the Southern Continent lost in the Ocean, the Terans on this continent were travelers from the Southern Continent. Not wanting to live in the ocean as their fellow Terans, they chose to live in this wilderness and take on what trials and tribulations would confront them. They live off the land with no technology. They truly went backward in evolution when they left the Terans of the Southern Continent behind.
The Aquans would not help the Terans in anyway for fear they would be the downfall of all Terans because of their stubborness not to do as the Aquans had done in adapting to the world as they saw it. This of course led to the two Teran populace.
Western Continent, Northern hemisphere, home to the B'nai: A Warrior race of beings technologically advanced. Came to this planet to conquer this part of the universe. Built an impenatrible city in the farthest mountain range of the Continent. Their conflicts with the Drej have slowed their advancement towards that goal. Both species had many causalties and have taken a low profile while rebuilding their respective empires. It is not known at this time where they stand in that push to conquer our universe.
Southern Continent, Southern hemisphere, home to the Aquans: Once all air breathers, they were the first Terans. A very culturally sound and technologically advanced civilization, there Continent has shrunk in size to do ground quakes that pulled half the Continent into the ocean. The force shield that protected their city still surrounds it.
Fearing that the whole world would soon be covered in water, their scientists developed a medically induced mutation that gave them their life under the ocean. Now they can live in and out of the water, and are ready should the planets mantle shift again and cover the entire planet with water. They also have space travel capabilities.
Eastern Continent, Southern hemisphere, a huge trench divides this Continent: Another alien race, never seen make their home in this trench. Only spacecraft has been seen entering and exiting this trench. Stories/Myths told by the Terans have even the B'nai leaving them alone.
Small island, Southern hemisphere, and a large distance from the other two continents in this hemisphere: Only plant life exits here. Or does it?
Below are 3 views of Tera from Space showing the different continents:
