The scans show approximately 47 mechanized life forms, 47 is as closest as I can get in their numbers, they are definitely non - human, and they are requesting to dock with Solaris.

We have been contacted by a mechanized life form, and they are requesting to dock with Solaris, I do not wish them to dock with Solaris, at least not yet, they are requesting and wanting to beginning with diplomatic relations.

OOC I'm going to assume Oliver has come as well, as Sharrel, is going on holiday and she might like a moment to reply before she goes. Thank you everyone for coming, my comm message said it all, and you can see the ship on the viewer, and with the other experiences we've had with other races, I don't want them to dock with Solaris. My idea is this, Major, you pick a crew for The Titan, and go out to meet them, they can dock with The Titan, Captain Gideon you are an official Diplomat for Solaris, although it is for Tera, this might give you some immediate expereince with what is out there. Sharrel, Tanya, if Sin is up to it, do you think he could escort The Titan cloaked? and if one of you would like to join in along with Captain Gideion, to help gauge who this race is. Oliver, you can act as Security for those on the Titan, the rest we can play by ear, if it is going well, and I'm needed then Reny can run me over in a cloaked fighter.
Alia, who changed her name to Ia, has been communicating with them, via one of our ships.
Ia, bring the text of your communications with the mechanized race.

That is a good question, and I'm 50-50 on that, this race claims they are here for peace, so I don't want to have an outward show of defence, but at the same time with everyone here, and the collected skills of everyone here, we are all pretty impressive in defending ourselves, and for the most part, we are all senior staff or hold senior positions on Solaris, including you Oliver.
On a side note, I would love to come and have a sit down talk with you very soon, when this meeting is over.
This race may feel less defensive with senior staff, and may be less on guard, and they also may feel that we are taking them serious, but at the same time, I'm not trusting them with Solaris, that trust is going to have to be earned.

I'll do whatever I can to help Captain. I think the lack of SST is a good start actually. Benefit of the doubt goes a long way. And fist contact with any race is going to be sketchy at best. With that said, (looking at the gathered group) we all must still stay on our toes and be ready for anything.
