At one point they decided to destroy the human race, they destroyed our home world and for a while they went after the survivors.
They have backed off for years, been mostly quiet, this is a significant escalation

When the Drifter said Drej I thought 10 or 20. Perhaps 50 for a major assault but the impression I am getting is more like two and a half thousand. The Captain is preparing to send down a small team to gather some intel.
We need to go in cloaked and quiet. If we lose the element of surprise we are in trouble. Then again with that many Drej we are in trouble anyway.

And I thought a carrot loving, gem hording psychotic raccoon was the worst thing we would have to deal with today.
ETA 20 minutes, I am sure you can come up with a workable plan by then.
I am reconfiguring comms, I should be able to establish short range communication with the Drifter and Titan and hide it within background radiation and general cosmic noise. I just need to match it to the specifics of that sector so it blends and looks random.
Beam outs will be more difficult to hide but it can be done, just not too many times before we risk detection.
DH do you need me to start replicating any specific gear?

The phrase “We are going to need bigger guns” comes to mind. Really, really big guns.
I hope you can come up with a plan DH, because the odds don’t look good right now. Taking out the Drej without endangering the captives is a heck of a tall order.
If you can lower the shields and disarm any proximity defences for long enough for us to get really close we can beam you over to your ship DH. Can Yamato cloak? Titan might get away with pretending to be a freighter but Yamato not so much.

trust me Tan ive got pulse rifle, rocket launcher, rail guns, sonic electronic ball BUSTER! plasma napalm knives sharp sticks as for Yamato just get in transporter range and i can send code to beam in her defense form well thats going to be the test she still has her orig. shields by drej stander she might not hold but im bettin her armor plate will hold tho ive once seen her survive space mine under her reactor and just leave a dent in the hull plate so if need be i can be a battery line to help yall jump out o and she can fly in planets atmo added bonus there

I am picking up communications in the area. It seems Braxxul is in the sector. I am picking up what I think is one B’nai warship. The radiation seems to be interfering with their cloaking device. There could be more in the area but I can only confirm one at the moment.

Yes DH, I have already mapped a path that should avoid the radiation that is weakening Braxxul’s cloaking technology so we should be able to remain hidden.
There is a small moon between Yamato and the B’nai warship but power fluctuations suggest it may be about to move. Do you want to beam over now?
I wonder if Braxxul is working with the Drej, or is attempting to work against them.
