(The tiny Drej shuttle craft, now free of the Battle Cruiser, sets about to locate Solaris)
I know it wassss here when d'Neesa was talking with them. They couldn't have been destroyed. She would have taken the opportunity to gloat to the crew that the Drej had finally rid the Galaxy of the Huuumaan threat. No, they somehow moved the Station. I have got to find them. Not only does a child'sss life hang in the balance, but now....so does mine!!
(d'Nala surveys the area in hopes of picking up a heat trail, any kind of trail that will lead her to Solaris!)

(After an hour or so of traveling the quadrant and scanning, a faint scan is detected)  (to herself) Could that be Solarissss? They could be scanning the area to see if its safe to return to thisss quadrant. Or they could be scanning me. The distance isss to far for clear definition of what isss being scanned. How do I send them a message to let them know thisss ship is safe. The Drej have gone. Wait! Maybe if I send a beacon, an SOSssss for them to pick up on. They would realize or I hope they would that thisss ship is safe. This hasss got to work. (she presses a few controls on her navicon and sends out a signal, a universal signal that would signify a need for assistance) ((A repeating sound of alarm is repeated over and over out towards where the the scan is being detected from)) |

Approaches the area at high warp, and powers down not to far from the drej small ship, and fires up the weapons so they are ready to fire and uncloaks.
Opens the Comm
Small ship, turn off your SOS, and state your emergency.

I am d'Nala of the Drej. I come alone. I am on a journey to locate the huuumaaanss on Solarisss Humanuss. It isss urgent I find them before it isss to late. I sussspect they are on a path that will not only destroy Solarisss, but all of Huuumaaan kind.

Opens the shuttle bay doors and tractor beams the small drej ship in.
Closes the shuttle bay doors.
Re-cloaks and heads back toward Solaris, after engaging the FTL.
Gets the comm from the Captain.
And exits FTL not far from Solaris.
Comm to Solaris
Captain, ready for you to transport to our location, (sends co-ordinates).

She sees, what looks like a single pilot ship.
The two stop and look at the ship.

(Suddenly, the hatch to the shuttle begins to open to the sound of pressure releasing and then as the hatch is completely open, a bright light shines out of it. A figure steps out)
I am d'Nala of the Drej. (her figure slowly takes form from the dissipating light and they see a Drej stand before them)

OCC - Do drej other then drones, have distinctive male, female characteristics? Do they wear cloths? She has not seen a drej up close, or at least this up close, and wonders about what appears to be wires? or is it hair, or a simulation of hair, on the drej's head. Outside of those thoughts, there are others, why is THIS drej wanting to warm them of life and death? What makes this drej different? Is it?she? a plant? a trick? Notices Reny's hand on his disruptor.
d'Nala, I'm listening, what is urgent? And any encounter with the drej is usually life and death, either ours or yours, I really don't understand this desire of your race to destroy all races. Nor, am I completely confident that your motives are sincere, I agreed to this meeting, only because there does seem to be some sincerity in your voice, and your ship is unarmed. This urgency you speak of, is it real? imagined? Broad scoped? or is this urgency more localized? And why YOU? A single drej, you seem to care. And why do you care? These are legit questions, and I would like them answered, but lets skip ahead for now, to this matter of life and death.
Please explain.

OOC: The newer "created" Drej, thanks to d'Noro are male and female forms. These forms are still in the electric translucent coloring you see in our avatars. There are no anatomically correct figures in the Drej, just the forms of male and female, no clothes. d'Noros altering of the Drej physique has not gone this far, YET!
I understand that you have ressservations and quesstionsss about my motivessss and whether I can be trusssted. And I will happily anssswer all of them. But I will sspeak to the urgency I mentioned to bring about our meeting.
You have recently come acrossss a child that carriesss an implant to which aided the Drej to find Sssolaris Humanus'sss location. I am sure your people will want to remove thisss implant once it isss discovered. It was designed by the Drej to cause the child to grow on at an elevated rate to bring your people to remove it. It'sss not only designed to locate you, but carriesss with it a mechanism that once removed, will release an EMP pulsssse that will activate all electrical sssystemsss on your ssstation to ignite. Caussing Sssolaris to implode. It also carriesss a fail sssafe device ssso that there will be no time to deactivate it. It mussst be removed correctly and then dissarmed during the removal processss.
My hope isss that I have found you in time before the decision to remove it is made and executed.

I am able to remove the implant sssafely. And I am willing to do ssso. I risssk my own ssafety from the Drej Empire.

Takes a deep breath, several deep breaths, and the thunder storm of complications that is going to arise from this. There is no choice, yes there is a choice, and each one has serious consequences, the only choice without loss of life is to offer safe haven to this drej. Theoretically, that choice will have no loss of life.
I want you to remove the implant, and am grateful that you are willing to remove it safely. I understand that you are risking your life. I am a bit hesitant, but understand that you will be ostracised from your kind. I will grant you asylum, but it is conditional and it will have to be done in stages, for many of the complicated reasons, the obvious being: that the drej have been trying to kill us for a long time, there is a lot of animosity, and you will have to under go a long series of medical tests, we want to make sure you don't have some kind of implant, known or unknown, that could attract the drej race to us. Will you agree? |
