I know we had a few more things planned to see here on Solaris, but I think it best to get those two home and return another time. I think it best SEAbastian gets acclimated to Teran waters as soon as possible.

You aren't disturbing a thing. Lorca's sleep is a deep one. She was exhausted. I just wish you could hold my Grandson a moment. But he must remain in his water filled crib till he has been cleared for his breathing in and out of the water. All Aquan infants are born underwater to to allow for the transition from water breathing to air breathing. It is a gradual thing, not born within us.

We have big plans for this little one. His name is SEAbastian Dar. We are so grateful to Professor Scifire for not only the name, but his assistance in helping Lorca as he did.

Lorca had scheduled a visit with the Professor to tour the Botanical Gardens the night of the Dedication Ceremony of your Commons Area. She had arrived and of course was immediately drawn to the bodies of water in the Gardens. Our females are quite drawn in that direction once they near the end of their pregnancy.
She helped herself to wading in the water and slipped and fell, apparently bringing on labor. She wasn't feeling well enough to make it to your SickBay for the delivery, so the Professor quite admirably jumped into the water and helped her deliver little SEAbastian.
Quite an astonishment for a man that could not use his legs moments earlier.

 It is an astonishment! And wonderful that, yes, and that he was able to help deliver the baby, and I assume that Mother and baby are both doing well, beside appearing to do well. The baby's name, is quite unique.

They are doing fine. Its usually 24 hours give or take when the baby is ready to emerge from his water surroundings to test his lungs with air. Once he is in the clear, I am sure Lorca will want to head home to Tera to show him off to all her friends.
Normally the child is named in some fashion after the attending Father if its a male or the Mother if female. Since Dar wasn't there at the time of birth, it's customary to follow with the attendants name.
The Professor said he was quite honored. And we were glad to honor him for his help. This makes him an honorary member of SEAbastian's life and will gladly have him as a part of the child's life if he so chooses.

That is amazing, so he will be able to learn to breath on his own.
The attendants name, that truly sounds like an honourable tradition.
I'm still shocked, he walked, but I am extremely grateful he was able to, in order to assist the birth of this beautiful child.
SEAbastinan, that is truly an honour, and to be part of the child's life, you have some wonderful values connected to your traditions, and way of life.

Well hello Captain. (steps over to the tank to speak to the two ladies)
The Aquan lungs must gradually accept the ability to breathe air. Seems odd I know, but it is one thing Mother Nature never improved on with our species.
I believe the Professor described his miraculous "cure" for his legs as.....necessity kicking in. Whatever it was, I am so grateful to him.
