Mr. Willoway, you have a Stargate that requires you to understand how to use it. I've left this go for sometime, but as I am in charge at SHADO, (Solaris Humanus Alien Defense Organization) I feel its high time you get the training you need before you begin using the Gate.
Now if you will, I have programmed this holo program to give you the training you will need to make the Gate a successful piece of equipment. I ask that you step into that Gate, (pointing to an "active" gate in the Holosuite) and let my program demonstrate to you the importance of knowing all that is STARGATE!
Any questions before you begin?

Very well. (sigh)
No questions. Since you aren't sending a SST with me, I know I am going to be safe. Now lets get this over with so I can get back to work.
(He steps onto the ramp and begins his march toward the open Gate Iris. He raises his arm and puts his hand just inside the gate and feels such an odd tingling feeling in his arm as his hand passes into it)
Piece of cake Ambassador! (he steps through)

(As soon a Willoway steps through the Gate, he finds himself on a desolate planet, no signs of life other than vegetation scattered throughout a valley. Very peaceful looking)

(looking around) This place is desolate. I need to do the dialing and find a place go that has options at every turn.  (starts to look over the DHD) How do you work this? Why isn't there any directions here? (yelling) AMBASSADOR, VERY FUNNY. NOW PROVIDE THE PROGRAM TO SEND ME TO ANOTHER LOCATION! AMBASSADOR?! TIME TO MOVE ON!! |

(With a sigh of relief) I am exhausted. There was a weird creature chasing me in all three programs. I'm done. If you were trying to scare me, it worked.
Ambassador, I'm not sure what it is you wanted from me, but I assume I showed it to you?

Mr. Willoway, I knew this demonstration was going to need to happen sooner or later. I needed you to see that there or no "normal" parameters when it comes to gate traveling. You take a risk no matter where you go. Do you understand?

After that statement Mr. Willoway...yes I do. That scenario could happen anywhere in the galaxy and can't appreciate the severity of it. As long as you have that attitude, you will never get anywhere with your stargate.
