Ready.
That is good news that Azcadium is highly combustible, I would rather it all burn up, so no one has any more access.

Ambrosious: OK, we are what I believe is a good distance from what the computer is assuring me is going to be quite a blast. Here we go. Computer, fire laser cannon. (they feel a little turbulence as the payload is sent towards its target) Ambrosious: Hold on Ia, I can't guarantee there won't be some backlash from the strike! ((The computer begins a countdown to strike)) Computer: 8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1..contact has been made by the strike. Ambrosious: Will you look at that Ia. Computer, what is happening? Computer: The Azcadium in the lining of the doorway has been ignited from the cannon fire. The length of the light show you are witnessing from the blast is unknown.

I think we need to monitor it, and record this.
It is beautiful, but also dangerous.

OOC: Chamblee, I sent you a message.
((The Doorway has been destroyed, but now you had better look out!!))

(The Shiree is suddenly flashing console lights and sounding alarms) Computer: Alert, Alert! The result of the laser blast, has now sent shock waves out into space and directly at us. The destruction of the Shiree is at 18 seconds and counting. 18..17..16.. Ambrosious: NEVER MIND THE COUNT COMPUTER, GET US THE HELL OUT OF HERE! WARP 9 NOW!! (turning to Ia) Hold on Ia, this is gonna be close! (He presses a few controls on the console and then grabs the arms of his seat as the Shiree turns and tries to get out of harms way)

(The Shiree is struck by the after shock and is pushed away, rocking back and forth)
Ambrosious: I'm sorry Ia, we didn't get far enough away. HOLD ON!
Computer: We are caught in the shock wave, unable to pull out. Estimated time to break free, 38 seconds. Damage to ship being calculated.
Ambrosious: (pressing controls for counter measures such as thruster controls and steering priorities)
(the ship begins to roll)

(The ship is finally under control)
Computer, I want a self diagnostic done immediately. Damage report now. Also scan the area the Doorway was located and note any remains.
Ia, are you alright?

OOC Sorry missed your second last post.
A bit shaken, its been a long time since I've been through something like that. Still shaking.
How is the ship.

(Checks what the computer is sending him as she answers)
Well warp drive is offline for now and we have a slight hull fracture on the port side of the ship, but we should be able to get back to Solaris without any troubles. But that blast did a number on the Doorway. According to the Shiree computer, it was incinerated. There is nothing left. The dimensional rift should be closed. I'll check those readings as we head back to Solaris.
Shall we?

Is there any other way we can determine that the rift is closed? for sure?
I agree Solaris, and its bugging me, who built this?

(as they pass the area the Doorway was located on their way back to Solaris)
The readings here say that the Dimensional rift is closed Ia. I will keep an eye on the readings for a few days, but I really think its over now.
You mentioned this character, "Braxxul" earlier. But I wonder. Since there was Azcadium in the construction of it, do you think this "Oliver" you mentioned had anything to do with it?

I would love to blame this on Braxxul, but I really don't know. Oliver would never have anything to do with this, he is very defensive of Solaris and its people.
Thank goodness, that is good news, we don't need that rift to open again.
After a moment.
Do you think that there are other dimensional rifts? Do you have any others that you have recorded?

Well then, out of those two, Braxxul sounds like a good suspect.
If anyone has anything to do with playing around with the time/space continuum, there could be others. All though, we aren't reading any at the moment. All seems quiet. I will definitely take some readings around the immediate Star Systems once repairs have been made to the Shiree. All recordings of any dimensional disturbances are kept back on my homeworld of Eridani Umbra.
I have recorded one other one I was fortunate to lay my eyes on. I don't know if it was natural or man made. But this is the first one I've come across that was caused by a device.
The Shiree is showing me that warp speed is available now. Lets get you home!

Thank you Solaris. Maneuvering around to dock now.
A relief it is Ia, a relief it is.
If you would like to report to the Captain, I have no problem with that. I'd like to see to the repairs to the Shiree right away. Unless you want us both to see the Captain?
