They are scanning us? That there technology can pass through the gate, and still function amazes me, can we scan them and the "space" around them?
I would think that there would be some type of dimensional delay, or rift, or distortion, if they have the technology to compensate for that, and do you?

I'm sorry Ia, no, my people haven't yet been able to scan inside that thing. It appears to have a shield around it at the moment, preventing any scanning to be done inside it. Now whether those inside can scan us, the Shiree should tell us momentarily if we are being scanned.
And you are right. There would be a delay/distortion which I am counting on should we need to exit the area quickly.
OK, the readings are coming through now.

Well, you were right about a delay Ia, there isn't much to the scans at the moment. The Shiree is still processing. But what has come through is interesting.
The scans cannot get through the gate for readings on the other side. Which means I can't tell you whether its a dimensional gateway and if so, what dimension it is on the other side. But a dimensional rift is determined to have been opened in the immediate area not to long ago.
But something very interesting was scanned. The gate itself.
It is made of various metals and alloys common to our galaxy. But one element is detected in the construction that could mean trouble....
OOC: Ia and whomever is else has been reading our posts, I will stop there to keep you wondering as I must leave for a few days. It is work related. I will hopefully be back within the week. But I do intend to return. I am sorry have to to do this. Ia, if you need to role play elsewhere on the board, I hope you have as much fun as I have had with you on this story.

Braxxul? I am not familiar with that gentleman, but Azcadium is a highly unstable element that has been said in my culture to have mystical, magical powers to it. The people of Azcad being one with their planet, are said to have an affinity to manipulate metal because of it.
I've never seen it to know if its true or not. But the fact that it is registering here, well there must be some truth to it. That could be how the Gateway is able to transcend the dimensional boundaries of the galaxy.
This Braxxul, is he an Azcadian?

Braxxul, is evil, pure and simply.
He wiped out the entire population of Azcadians, or so he believes, and now it seems he mined some of the Azcad planet.
Oliver, a lost soul who found his way to Solaris, is Azcadian, and he thought he was the last of the Azcadians, he has since been back to Azcad and found that he is not the last of the Azcadians, thatthere are a few who survived but are in hiding.
However, before Oliver knew of survivors, Braxxul found out about Oliver, I'm not sure how, but has been targeting Oliver in various ways, to the point it is unsafe for him to travel to certain areas that are also known to Braxxul, I'm sure he has spies on that planet to tell him when Oliver shows up again.

I had no idea Ia. We keep in touch with people on planets near-by my world, but I never heard this about Azcad. It isn't near, but it is one we are, or should I say, were, aware of. And this Braxxul is the cause of its distress and near annihilation of its people.
I do wonder if those in high positions on my world are aware of this Braxxul. I will have to collect more information on him and then talk with them. If he could do that to Azcad, I wouldn't put it past the maniac to try it elsewhere.
