There, that's better. I needed to wash this day off. LOL Winston was so busy with his opening of the Glowing Edge, I had to put out the fires at the office myself.
Sorry I made you wait. I really thought you'd be here later. Must have crossed wires. Like I said, rough day!
I'm going to get us a quick dinner prepared. Just like I promised.

I appreciate that Angelique. I stopped by the opening to make sure Kenji knew I supported him. They all looked like they were having a wonderful time.
Besides dinner, didn't you say you wanted me to try on a dress you thought would be perfect for me to attend the opening of Tahla's Clothing shop?

Yeah, its the red one in the left side of the closet in my bedroom. Why don't you go try it on while I'm getting dinner. I think its perfect for you. I'm going to wear the blue one next to it.

(steps into the bedroom and finds a beautiful walk in closet. She thinks to herself how nice it would be if she had one also. She opens the left door and spies the Blue dress Angelique said she was going to wear to the gala, but not the Red one she was going to try on)

Angelique, I'm sorry. I didn't see the dress and when I looked through the closet, I knocked over the portraits that were in there. One was so pretty, looked just like you but dressed in very old clothing. Something from another time. Then I went to set the second one back and I saw this ugly, disfigured woman. Dressed in the same old style clothing as the first portrait.
(takes a deep breath)
Again I am sorry, it just took me by surprise.

That so called, "pretty one" is me. Vivian, I hope I can trust you.  I wouldn't have said anything at all but since you came across them...it was painted in the year 1795 on the Isle of Martinique. Where I was born and raised back on Earth. Sadly, the "ugly" one is also me.  |
