This coming up for air, is it normal breathing, or the feeling you are going to burst? That is an excellent idea.
After a moments thought.
Do you want them to come with us, so that they can help in what ever way needed? Either finish setting up the Alpha site, make supply lists, or simply learn to live / work together for a few days before their training?

Major, I think you should contact them, and this short notice would also be good for them, part of the training if emergency notices is needed.
Ambassador, this Malp looks interesting, maybe you can give us the run through while we are waiting for the others to arrive.

It has only one speed Captain, slow. LOL But it is for general testing purposes. So speed was not built into it. The long arm is free to take soil, vegetation and mineral samples.
The so called, "cockpit" in the back allows for someone to mount it and use manual controls to do the sampling as well.
It does run across rough terrain as well as smooth, but steep inclines could topple it over.
I think improvements could and should be made on them. Possibly even a remodeling?

  Hello gentlemen, it is good to see you. Captain, if you will notice on the top right hand side as you face the MALP from the front, there is a high tech digital camera. It is constructed of hypermia metal. Made to withstand harsh elements on alien surfaces. with that said, as the photos are taken, the are fed into the projection dish you see on the top left hand side of the MALP. That dish sends the condensed photos AND other info we request back to us here on Solaris. |
