It is going to be a shock to that population.  Major, could you also ask Sarina, if she is free to meet with Caleb and the Mayor for advice on how to tell the population.

Sharrel is absolutely right, we can't risk bringing them back to Solaris, and if it was there intention to force our hand then we most certainly cannot go back to Solaris right now,  and to make matters even worse, some how even though The Drifter was cloaked, the drej somehow were able to send a hologram to the bridge of The Drifter.

"I recommend we give the Mayor some time and then let's formulate a check list of the things we need to look for in a new home.  A few things come to mind and we can go over that another time."

I miss our vacation, giant creepy space crawlers and all. I would say it has been a long day but I am not even sure what day we are on at this point. I just hope there really is a bird on your shoulder Anita because I haven’t had that much alcohol and Sarina is too busy for another patient.

I hope we can find somewhere to relocate them to. I really wish we could just return to Solaris with them but the risk is just too great at this point.

Did any of Sin’s sensor probes survive? It is possible the Drej projected their hologram throughout the sector hoping one would display on the Drifter. Wishful thinking perhaps but it would be useful to know if the signal was targeted and if so how they targeted.

"The Titan can certainly do that.  The Moonbase Alpha crew has decided to stay with us through the duration of this mission so we may see if they would send out some scout ships.  I do have an idea....now I'll be honest and upfront here...there is a personal interest in this but it may provide some intel.  Concerning my brother.....Clay Mosby.  He was stranded on Planet Chai for sometime.  He was able to survive with nothing but a crashed ship there for months.  That planet may provide the answers we are looking for.  I know the way and with your permission we can start that direction and perform the necessary experiments and see what results that would yield....I would also like to see if there is anything left of the ship he crashed on the surface."

Also the traffic around here is pretty intense, so that should cover our trail, I am also betting that they are so focused on me and Solaris, a wonderful human trait: obsession, that they will try to hunt us, or me down and ignore the traffic in this sector. If they are using humans to make drej, its in our DNA to have emotions, and that will be transferred to the drej, and that I am sure of, or that drej wouldn't have showed emotion when it recognized me.


Sarrin, can you please send an encrypted data stream on the specs from Oliver's and Reny's drej ship destroying weapon to The Titan, The Yamato, and to Sin.


Major I can see you have a person interest, because I am failing to see the benefit for the Colonists. Can you please restate your request and separate what your personal interests are and why, from what benefits it would be to the Colonists to go to this place.

And an idea just occurred to me, the drej use advanced, extremely advanced technology, and I would assume are extremely arrogant, if we use extreme older technology, or I do for moving around, it would never occur to them to search in that manner as they know Solaris is far more technologically advanced then they are, and I assume part of the reason they want Solaris.


Both Oliver and Reny I assume are sleeping, I'm grateful to have them aboard, but I am wondering about Adam Kendal. Sharrel, do you want him to stay here, isolated with us, or would you rather he be on The Titan? As an added note you should go and see the EMH here, he pulled what he is calling drej sludge out of Adam's lungs, and he doesn't know what it is.


Sarrin, building on Sharrel's thought, next time we see a drej hologram on the bridge, let scan the area where we are, and see how broadly that hologram is being broadcasted, as I suspect Sharrel is right and they are guessing, knowing we are around somewhere.

"Certainly Captain.  In my opinion Chai would be worth checking out.  Clay Mosby survived there for months completely isolated which tells me that the planet may have the necessary resources to sustain human life.   It's an out of the way planet and I propose going there and taking some atmospheric readings and get some soil samples of various regions to see if food could be grown there and also take a survey to see what sort of wildlife is there.  The wildlife that is there would it be suitable for human consumption.  Basically see if the planet could sustain a large human population and could that population prosper."

"Now for the personal interest, I would like to check out Mosby's ship and see what sort of data and or equipment could be salvaged.  Perhaps get some insight on how he did what he did to Dayna which...*looking to Sharrel...may or may not yield some knowledge that would be beneficial to us.....I understand this is not the mission and not the primary objective...the Talusians would come first, but we may get some insight by at least checking on the crash site."

No one else has claimed the planet? We wouldn’t be stepping on anyone’s toes?

Anita, older technology might confuse them, but humans are more adaptable and if they do work it out older weapons or shields would leave you vulnerable.

I think leaving Adam here would be better for now. I do want to look at his scans though.

On the subject of older technology's, you are both absolutely right.

Do either of you know, are warp signatures unique? I know you can scan space for a warp signature, as in a ship was here that used a warp, but to actually id a ship by its warp signature is that possible?

Major, for now I would rather both you and the Yamato say in high traffic areas, hide in plain sight as it were, move into the traffic stream from Twilight, you are not the biggest ship here, but you are not the smallest either, so you should fit right in, the same for the Yamato.

For all the drej know, the Colonists were destroyed when the planet was destroyed, I didn't detect any scanning of the planet, they know we had two ships there, The Titan and The Yamato, but unless you detected being scanned by the drej, we didn't detect any scan of either ship, (petting the Drifter, on her shoulder), then as far as they know they were empty ships, and since its me they are after, both of your ships should be relatively safe, the higher danger coming form the people and planets you will come in contact with, and how you blend in, a test you must pass one hundred percent for the sake of the colonists and Solaris, but at the same time you can be essential to how Solaris takes steps into the future, in retaliations with these systems, by collecting data.

Follow the traffic streams, collect as much data as you can on who you come in contact with, scan without being noticed or caught in the process, use probes as much as you can, contact Sin, The Demon Hawk, on that, if you go by Chai, scan it, but don't stay there, being stationary will draw too much attention to you, as far as anyone is concern you are a supply ship, for ?? a new mining company? I'll give you funds, so if you need to buy supplies to keep your cover, then you'll have the means to do so to keep you cover.

The warp signature of a ship is unique, it is based on the Neutrino Emisions created by the warp core which is determined by the alignment of the ship’s warp coils.

However while the warp signature can be used to determine if a ship has been recently present in an area and can be tracked it should not be precise enough to give exact location. They could know you were in a sector but not exactly where. Neutrinos disperse quickly which is why warp trails degrade. Background radiation from stars is a major source of neutrinos so can be used to help hide your trail.

Sin quite often uses specialised probes he designed to lay false trails when he wants to go unnoticed. I am sure he wouldn’t mind sharing the designs with the Drifter.

As for Adam, i am not surprised he is focused on his wife. If the Drej can use her to hurt him and us I am sure they will.
