*a few minutes later he arrives at the flight deck where the fighter is being prepared for a quick flight. He changes into a flight suit and climbs into the cockpit.
“All systems Check and let’s go.”
*the fighter gently lifts off the deck and exits the Titan

*a quick flight around the exterior reveals just some superficial blast marks but nothing to be concerned about. A simple cleaning and repaint will fix that. The fighter makes a pass to the other side and the Titan is lit up with service lights as the worker bots are diligently working away at the stress fractures and making much better than anticipated time. He brings up the initial diagnostics and compares to the latest diagnostic and it reveals we should be able to make our way to Twilight in just over 12 hours.
"XO...I'm sending results from an exterior diagnostic. I think we will be able to leave for Twilight in 12 hours. Can you run the numbers and confirm. I'll be back in 30 minutes."
*Comm to Sharrel
"Doctor...I received a message from Captain Thomas. The Lt. was rescued from the Drej ship and has asked that you come to the Drifter. That is your choice if you deem you are needed here more. I was to just relay the message. After an exterior analysis of the ship we should be able to leave for Twilight within 12 hours. Awaiting confirmation on those numbers. Voss out."

*Continues to fly around the ship skimming across the hull looking for any damage not picked by sensors. Finds that the hull breach has been sealed which means that section can be reopened. Inspects the engines and sees that they are in good shape from outward appearances.
*Comm to Engineering
"The is Major Voss...run a self diagnostic of engineering to make sure we can get underway when needed. Let me know if you find anything wrong."
*finishes up his flight and brings the ship in and gently sets her down on the deck. Once the bay has been pressurized he hops out and takes off the flight suit and hangs it back up. Exits and heads to the medical lab.
*enters the med lab..."I thought I would pop in and make sure everything was ok down here."

We got everyone out of the caves. Lives were lost before we got there were no further casualties. Their government has been wiped out, only the Mayor is left.
*Looks up as the Major walks in*
Busy but under control. I got the message about Lt Kendall, I would like to examine him to make sure the Drej have not set some kind of trap.
Does the Captain know how long it will be before we can jump? Have you sent our co-ordinates to Sintech? The sooner Sarina gets here the better.

The holographic emitters are wonderful, I can never really settle if I feel confined. I like the Jungle program, it is the one I usually use at home.
So are you feeling more in control?

I am concerned they have developed something worse, but we don’t have enough intel yet. I am worried about him and about the Captain. If we can’t go to them for 12 hours can they come to us?

“I respectfully disagree. If the Drej have compromised Lt Kendall, then we can not risk any more exposure than necessary. No other ships should approach the Drifter. Lt Kendall should be under the strictest quarantine until we can ascertain just what they did To him.”

He needs to be monitored but we need the Captain here to deal with the refugee situation. The Drifter has to come to us or we need to go to the Drifter at some point. But the Lt will need to remain confined for now.
His wife is still missing, so even if he hasn’t been compromised any other way she can still be used as a hostage against him.

I know you are captaining this ship, but you should not be making decisions about the Captain nor the Drifter without consulting the Captain first.

"Excuse me?....Perhaps a better explanation of my concerns are in order. Where I come from the Drej had a weapon of where they could form a symbiotic relationship with a victim. This Drej entity could enter into a person and could not be detected because it was not biological in nature. Once inside the victim they would use this...entity to infiltrate the enemy forces...to gain intel. Eventually it was turn on it's victim and kill it...usually. The victim by all accounts was perfectly healthy. As time goes on the victim shows signs such as irrational behavior, bad decision making, restlessness, anxiety and destructive behavior....both to themselves and to others. If the Drej have produced such technology and have indeed compromised Lt Kendall, the Drej could then use that to gain information as to the whereabouts of Solaris. So forgive me if I appear a little too cautious."

Ask the Captain if she wants me to go the the Drifter or of the Drifter is coming to us.
If Sin has our coordinates the Demon Hawk should be here shortly. If I need to go to them I would prefer to take the Demon Hawk.
It has cloaking and better shielding and weapons. The Drej wouldn’t be able to backtrack a warp signature to the Titain if we encountered them in the Demon Hawk. Also there is more room if the constable or any of her security team wish to return with me.
We have had a few encounters with the Drej while you were away Major, hopefully we are better at identifying such mental manipulations now.
