They are better now. I couldn't handle the sudden onset of fear by all those people. As for the cat who knows, we are watching each other.

We do have to get back to that investigation we planned. We have to find answers.
Do you think the Drej will try something again before we return to Solaris?

Well, its good to hear my counterpart on Solaris is keeping with tradition....GOOD medical care and GREAT bedside manner.
Now, if you will allow me to continue....
You do still have a good bit of swelling around the surgical area. That is to be expected. And more ice packs, 20 minutes on and 20 off is going to help. Deeper scans, do show that the surgery was a success. Everything appears to be reattached and the 5th lumbar vertebral body restructure is complete and holding. With the proper therapy, you will learn to use your legs again.
Now with that said, nothing is 100% sure. Trust me Professor, everything is on track for you to make a complete recovery. Unless....Professor, could I possibly talk you into seeing the ships psychiatrist? It would do you a world of good to speak to someone about what you are feeling and any fears you may have about the trama you have had to deal with.

Is someone arranging com devices for everyone? If not can we start replicating something on a different frequency than our standard ones? Would we be able to create something like a tag people can pin on we could colour code them for people who had been given a clean bill of health, people who had been assessed and treated, people who are assessed but are waiting for treatment. Can we do something like that do you think?

Professor, I'm sorry you won't speak to the Psychiatrist. Maybe I should have used the term Psychologist? And I want to keep you here at least another couple of days. That's Doctor's orders and non-negotiable! But I want to warn you. Your outlook is very important right now. You have to keep a positive attitude. And Professor...be prepared to leave with the help of a wheelchair. Its a possibility.
Now I must get back out into SickBay and help with the incoming refugees. If you need anything further, just hit the call button.
(as he exits..he stops just short of the door and turns back)
Professor, I may not sound sympathetic at times to satisfy some patients needs, but I do care and will be here to help you in anyway I can.

No. I am ok now. If I go back I will have a melt down, there are too many emotional fears. I can't even hear myself for their emotional fears. Its the number of people there are too many people, too many emotions.
