Looking and seeing the people start to transport in.

(Having transported over to the Titan with Zachary Morgan (Before AMarie), they head straight for the Transporter room to see about the damage)

OMG! There is a lot of damage here. And no sign of Uncle Sci.

Come on Zachary, lets see if these babies are still operating.

*Is walking along and starts to be able to breath a little better.....

"I think it's clearing up.  I really should go back and check on Sci."

*They make their way to the medical bay

"Perhaps someone can tell us his condition."

*Major Voss stands up straight and brushes off his uniform and tries to compose himself.  Obviously worried for his friend.

*takes Dayna's hand in his

(Rushes in just as the Nurse speaks)

Professor Scifire is my Uncle Nurse. What's going? Can I see him?

Nurse Tessa: First I'd like to say how sorry I am for all of you and the Professor. He's a good man. Now, as best we can put things together, when the blast hit the transporters and threw the Professor against the bulkhead and wall, it damaged his spine severely.

(Brings up a holographic photo of the human spine on the computer screen)

The L series vertebrates. They control the walking abilities of your body. The 5th Lumbar vertical body is damaged and separated from the Invertible Disc. His 2nd Lumbar spinal nerve is all but severed.  The Doctor has to reattach the Lumbar vertical body to the Disc.  As far as his 2nd Lumbar nerve is concerned, well, the Doctor is very talented at what he does, but even this is going to take a miracle to repair. 
I think you should know the worst possible scenario. It is very possible that the Professor may not walk again.  

(Looks at Perrin)

I am so sorry young man.  

(then to the Major and Dayna)

He's only been in surgery for 10 minutes, so you have a lot of time to have to wait.  I'll notify you as soon as there is word on how things are going.  If you are going to be waiting, there is replicator in the surgical waiting room.  Is there anything else I can do for you?

(Looking like he needs a good cry)

OMG! Uncle Sci may never walk again. I should have been there. I should have been the one to see the Titan Transporters through the mission.

Caleb, can you send a video feed of what is going on in your cargo bays?

"I'm going to step in the EMH office to report this to the Drifter"

*obviously concerned for Sci he steps away

*On the still open comm

"This is Major Voss.....Professor Sci has sustained a fairly severe spinal injury.  The Doctors onboard the Titan are doing everything that can be done to surgically repair the injury.  There is a chance he may not walk again.  I ask that thoughts and prayers be with him and Perin during this difficult time and throughout his recovery......Major Voss......out."

OK, I do feel like I need to sit down.

(turns and walks to the waiting room with Zachary)

*returns as they go into the waiting room

"He doing ok?"

I think its all a bit over whelming for him. He's at the age where he is still a boy, but growing into a young man. (tearing up) He doesn't know whether to cry or be strong for the rest of us. Poor kid.

(hears the XO announcement)

And all that is still going on too. I know there is no good time for any of this, but I wish we didn't have the crisis with Talusia to have to deal with along with Sci's accident.

(walks over and puts her arms around William and lays her head on his shoulder)
