Caleb, I know it has been a difficult journey for you and Liam to become Father and Son again. Did you mean what you said moments ago about being a bit skeptical of his recovery? I know it is a concern, but he could use your support. It would mean so much to him. He's an honorable and thoughtful man and takes on a lot of the burden of guilt for others even if it isn't always due to his own actions. He can be is own worst enemy at times.

“Oh he does have my full support. What the Drej did to him was horrific. What you may not understand is the nature of what was going on. He and Clay were both what we called “the taken”. His thoughts and actions were not his own. They would make irrational choices and most of the time they ended up dying. It does appear that he is indeed free and can move on with his life. I’m glad he has someone like you in his corner.”

As proud of him as I am, and the confidence I am sure Command has in him since they called, I can't help but wonder if that call is a bit to much to soon.

*Stands up on the front porch and leans on the railing looking out at the forest. He thinks about how time has changed so many things. Proud that Lee has come out of the clutches of the Drej simbiot and wishes things could have been different for Clay.
