Well Perrin, for arguments sake, lets just say its an honorary title...I think.
They do seem to want me to be a part of his life. When he gets old enough, they want him to visit Solaris and be a part of life here as well. Sort of like a dual citizenship. They now consider him a member of Solaris Society just as much as he is Aquan.
I'm honored.

In Teran tradition, I was told the name of the male child is a form of the Father who is present at the delivery and of the Mother if its a female child. Well I was there instead of Dar. They named him SEAbastian Dar. How cool is that? With a part of his name being mine, I guess they do want me to be a part of his life. |

LOL No of course not. And that is just the way their cultures works. They do want me to be a part of his life if I so choose to do so. I know you are still young enough not to understand the bond a parent has with its child. My lack of never having fathering a child kept me from understanding it completely. Until I took guardianship over you.
So even though I am not blood related, SEAbastian does tug at my heart strings.
