It is unlikely any DNA would survive intact long in space, but we might get something from the surface. We also had that Drej in the pattern buffers for quite a long time. We need to save that data for analysis, the logs shouldn’t have been purged yet.
We deactivated the Lt’s access codes and frequencies as soon as we knew he was missing and he knows we would do that. He can give the Drej the codes and all it would do is possibly give us a way to pinpoint then if they try to access the stations.

Lets hope that the logs can help us, and lets hope that the Lt., where ever he may be, has that insight so that it might help us find him. It really makes one feel helpless, and angry at the same time, knowing that the drej have him and his family.

I know that is ridiculous to say, as he will be worried for his family, I just want him and his family back on Solaris.

I want to see him. If he is awake I would like to look in on him but just for a few minutes right now. Tanya reported they still have a lot of patients to treat and people are still confused and afraid.
We need to go over and help them. They are feeling lost, they need to at least know if they are going back to the planet or not. But before we do that you need to take care of yourself. Shower, food and change of cloths.
I have collated the intel we have into a report for you along with some scenarios with cost benefit risk breakdown on fortifying a settlement on planet verses integration on Solaris.

In her quarters, going into the bathroom, she looks at the shower, and she simply can't do it, knowing that she has a perfectly usable whirlpool bath in the next room. fighting between guilt - the need to talk to the Mayor, the Major, all those people on The Titan, and the need and the desire to sit in the whirlpool tub, she chooses the tub, knowing that everyone is working hard to help the population, and if she doesn't do this now, she may not get the chance later, and beside she could use it now.
Turning the tub on, she undresses and sets the timer for 15 minutes, no, 20 minutes, no, 25 minutes, 30 minutes and no more, she slips into the warm whirling water and lets her body simply float freely in the warm whirling water, and damn that timer goes off.
Surely it can't be 30 minutes already??? But looking over at it, she knows it is, and has no choice but reluctantly gets out of the tub, turning it off.
Wrapping a soft fluffy robe around her she goes into the closet to get out some fresh cloths, she would much rather some regular ordinary cloths, but instead she puts on a Solaris uniform, and with a bit of clean up of the older cloths and robe, she heads down into the kitchen.
She wonders if they have any more of those delicious fresh/frozen meals that they had stocked before going on vacation. Vacation? they actually had a vacation? God, she could use one now. Not really wanting to get onto that train of thought, she goes back to looking or something to eat, and she doesn't have to look very far and she finds one, and heating it up, she decides to eat in the lounge, enjoying each and every delicious bite, and thank goodness she thought to bring a sweet out with her meal, letting it slowly melt in her mouth, and filling her body with chocolaty warmth.

Sharrel heads back to her own quarters for a shower and fresh uniform. The thought that the Drej could be somehow converting humans into a hybrid drone running through her mind. Rosie and Owen are proof both Braxxul and the Drej are conducting genetic experiments and are trying to perfect cloning.
She grabs a protein and fruit smoothie from the replicator and looks out at the planet below thinking about everything that needs to be done. At least she won’t have to worry about nightmares about Drej labs if they don’t have a chance sleep.

Vacations over.
Cleaning up after herself, she does feel better with the bath, food and clean cloths, and the few stolen moments of feeling like a person again.
She heads down to the shuttle bay and sees the empty space where her fighter was, she can see the other two, Oliver's? or Reny's? Whom ever, they need a wash, and clean up, and that shuttle could use a wash up. Sarrin, can you please send the clean up bots to the shuttle bay to clean up the two recently used fighter ships, and the shuttle used by Reny on the way back from our 'vacation'.
When we get back to Solaris, I'll have to put in an order to replace that fighter.
She looks at the three remaining fighter ships, and picks the middle one, it would be much easier if she transported over to The Titan, mind you there is the interference of the radiation, yes, but that is an excuse, she wants to fly over, and there are a few things she wants to check out, and Sharrel's words come back to her:

Walking around the fighter, she lets her hand run feel the hull of the fighter, all of its bumps, and its smooth metal, really its not much protection against the coldness of space, and yet, and yet, the individuality of it, feeling a bit melancholy, the freedom of it, and the very nature of it, the danger of it.
Walking over to the closet behind the fighter, she puts on the flight/space suit, before getting into the fighter this time.
Climbing in, she does a quick check of everything, knowing that everything is in order to begin with, there is a smile, as she engages the thrusters to move into position for take off, the shuttle bays door still open, she looks at the radar and can see The Titan and The Yamato, she engages the engines and in seconds she is out of the shuttle bay.
Sarrin, I'm heading for The Titan.
Weaving, and spinning a few times, as she is flying to get the feel of the ship, she smiles, that is an excuse, she knows the feel of the ship, she is playing around.
Heading for the planet's surface she flies low over the ground, following its contours, wanting to check out the area of the caverns and to fly around the city, to get a really good look at its state, and the drej really did a number on it, most of it looks hazardous and unstable, there are sections on the outer areas of the city that remain and look safe, but there is a lot of damage, and noting that, she heads towards the outer atmosphere of the planet.
Looking back at the ground she wonders is there really human DNA mixed with drej DNA, and will they find some? If they can get into spots of the cavern, even were the Constable was with the drej, and they blew up in the containment field that might be there best bet, and they will know. Feeling like she wants to throw up with that thought, and its implications, she forces it back to focus on right here and right now, and her approach to The Titan.
As she approaches The Titan, she straightens out and slowly flies around The Titan to assess the damage, the blast darkened hull, there doesn't appear to be any breaches in the hull, but the blast marks are there, the question remains, have those blast's marks damaged the integrity of the hull? Then she comes around to the other side and see the extensive damage where the Eagles Moonbase ships were attacked. That is going to need repair, and it looks like some of the repair bots have already started, but the damage is extensive, and it does look like, but no way to tell from here, that there is damage to the integrity of the hull, it also looks like shields have been put into place while the repair work has been started by the bots.
Coming around she sees The Yamato, flanking The Titan, and with a small chuckle, there is no way she can tell, if any of the blast marks on The Yamato, are from the drej or not, as her hull is covered in them, each one telling a different story, and only DH would know them.
Comm to The Titan,

While I understand your concern Dr. Eiluned, I do not have emotions or need for such. Therefor your concern is wasted and should be used where it will best be served. The Drifter on the other hand is another matter. It has been very quiet through this whole ordeal with the Drej and the Talusia Prime incident. I have not been able to communicate with it nor has he tried to communicate with me.
I would call it being, "Uncharacteristicly quiet!"

I know you don’t have emotions Sarrin but it is polite to ask and given how advanced your central core is and given your processing power you could make the leap from Electronic intelligence to a true sentient AI with emotions so I feel better checking in on you.
And I am worried about Drifter and I would feel impolite asking after just one of you.

Everything that has happened has been frightening and upsetting and confusing. If you hold it all inside it builds up until it feels like you might burst. That is why it is important to talk to someone when you are upset or confused.

Bursting with confusion. I know what those things were. Why are they trying to kill us? What have we done to them. I have done nothing to them. There is nothing in my data showing that any of us have done anything to them. You are very fragile. Need to be protected. Captain Thomas could have died. Dying means gone. The Drej believed that humans were a threat to them. Or perhaps that humans would compete for territory or resources in the future.
They set out to eliminate a potential future threat. I suppose in launching an unprovoked attack and destroying earth they caused humanity to spread out and have made humanity an adversary where it wasn’t before. They don’t see us as individuals but as a collective vermin I suppose and we tend to think of them as a collective threat. I suppose some would say they were evil, I don’t know if they are evil or just coldly practical. I am not sure I ever want to be in a position to find out.
I do wonder if it has become more of an obsession for them now.
It is difficult Drifter. Humans are fragile, and Sci and Anita being hurt frightenes me too. I need to go and visit Sci, but I really don’t want too see him in a hospital bed as a patient. I suppose I don’t want to think about his mortality.
Sidhe are not true immortals as we can be killed but we are more robust than humans so I do know how you feel.
I know you feel as though you need to protect us and keep us safe, we feel that about each other and about you too. We all need to work together to keep everyone safe, but some risk is inevitable.
We do need to learn lessons from what almost happened and make sure Anita doesn’t take unnecessary risks but we have gotten good at looking out for each other.

While I cannot understand emotionally your response, I do thank you for being concerned for me. And I do thank you for what you have said to Drifter. I do not seem to be able to comfort him when he needs it the most. I believe he considers me just a program in the Main Computer Complex.
What you have said to him, I am sensing, he does understand. But still in his infancy, it may take time to "sink in" and be comfortable.

Sarrin, I am a grown up and I am still not comfortable with the idea of that my people are all too often in danger.
Drifter what you are feeling is natural, take some time to process things and any time you have questions or if you want to talk then contact me. Talking does help.
I suppose I should head over to the Titain, are you both going to be ok with no organic crew aboard.?
