(Contacting the Captain as she enters the Bridge) Captain, as you can see on the monitor, I have transported 2/3's (30) of the Drones near the entrance to the caverns to monitor outside activity. They are still cloaked. I am allowing them to be seen on monitor for our eyes only. The other 1/3 (15) of the Drones are in the caverns and should be able to send detailed information upon request. I didn't loose anyone. I came her by a supplier freighter, I was in a city and I couldn't handle living there any more, I choose the most remote location I could find.

Ensign Callie Truman: (at a console in Medical) Daniel, Dr. Eulined, I can now access the drones the Sarrin just launched. And by the looks of the surrounding area, could this cave on the other side of the caverns where the Talusians are being held be a good spot to set up a containment field? Sarrin, of the people that you detected earlier, does it appear that any need medical attention? Or does it appear that any of them have been 'tagged' by the drej? By tagged I mean some kind of device to count them or analyse them?

I am not detecting any need for medical attention Captain. And no signs of "Tagging" at this time. The Talusians just seem to be "herded" into groups, waiting to be dealt with. And there is Drej there Captain. I have confirmation on that now.

You are sure there are Drej there? Can you determine the numbers?
If you think the best spot is that cave Ensign then we will go with that.
As to the weapons Reny, until we have a plan in place I really don’t know.

Comm to Sharrel.
Sarrin has given me an update, there are a larger number of people in the caverns below us and they are being 'herded' into groups by the Drej, and she confirms there are definitely Drej there. Of the people there, it appears if no one need medical attention, and no 'tagging' of the population has occurred for either counting purposes or for any other purpose.

Not yet, still collecting data, I'm eager, and impatient to see the feed that the drones send, and honestly, I could pace a hole right thought this floor, wondering when Sintech, the Yamato, and the Titan will get here. If there are only 2500 hundred drej down there, watching 25,000 people, then we should be able to over power the drej, or at least a couple of them while we knock off the rest.
I wonder did I tell Sharrel that? Having Reny here is a bit harder then I thought, it brings memories up of simply charging into situations, but we can not, there are too many lives at stake, and I'm impatient, and I do want to do something, but I want to do it responsibly.
Not to mention some of why we, I, needed that vacation, is because I was really exhausted simply staying in the command centre and not feeling like I was 'having a life', I know someone has to do it, but surely there has to some perks or adventures some time, and maybe I need to start balancing my time in the gardens, and holodecks between the chaos. Comm to Sharrel, As it happens there are approximately 25,000 people in the caverns, with 2500 drej as guards. |

2,500 Drej? That is a lot of Drej. We need to find a way to neutralise their energy weapons if there is to be any chance of the populace over powering them. We also need to organise the captives somehow.

Do you think that the Drej weapons could be modified to emit an EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse)? for either the weapons or the drej?
If that works, then we could possibly beam down a comm devise with a several speakers around the case, to announce what we are doing, and then have a few of us beam down.
If the EMP knocks out the Drej, could we , I'll talk to Sarrin, beam most of them into space and neutralize them with a massive phaser photon torpedo? While keeping one or two for interrogation? I don't know enough of the Drej physiology to know if this would work or not.

It is technically possible to beam the Drej into space but I don’t know how many the Drifter can beam out in one go.
We have weapons that will disrupt the Drej energy and be lethal but we can’t just blanket the area as it would also harm the humans. We need to get hold of some Drej weapons to see if we can knock them out.

Captain, I could integrate your group into different groups if you wish. And to answer Dr. Eiluned, I could technically beam out 100 Drej at a time into space. If I work at adjusting my Transporter Matrix, I could manage to make that 1,000 at a time.

at Sci. Responding to Sharrel, We also have Sin and the Titan on the way, and maybe in that way we could delegate the transporting. Sarrin, I wouldn't want you to adjust your Transporter matrix to the max, just in case, these are drej and I don't want you damaged. We do need to get a Drej weapon, what if, and I sense that I might regret saying this, Reny and the SST transport down, and some how manage to get a drej weapon, COVERTLY (knowing that Reny is listening) and then transport back with it. We could pick the furtherest most drej into the cave, and if there are lights we could put them out, cause an overloaded circuit, if the away team is wearing night goggles, they could snatch the weapon easier, it might scare the people, but that is something we are going to have risk. |
